That’s not true. When negative judgments are applied universally, they end up condemning us all. We have all sinned and fallen short in some way, but many of us have recovered, matured, and moved forward. This kind of sweeping condemnation is not fair to the one being condemned, nor is it fair to any of us. Personally, I have messed up badly more than once, and I thank God for second chances. I hope we can all extend grace to one another when we make mistakes; unfortunately, that is often not the case.

@@AfrinJahan-i6d That depends on one's personal values and beliefs. I can forgive much more than that because God has forgiven me much. I can't expect his forgiveness when I'm stingy with my own. Forgiveness is not as easy as vengeance or self-righteous judgment. It takes a strong will, humbled heart, determined mind and yes, compassion to see beyond one's pain and the memory of the offense. Someone hurt me tremendously over a long period of time and I struggled with genuine anger and even hatred. Until I was faced with the need for forgiveness myself. And I read this, "Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” And, "God will not forgive you if you do not forgive others." I speak for myself only. I strive to be pleasing everyday but I fall short everyday, in some way. And I need His forgiveness everyday. I've been forgiven much. So I in turn love much and forgive. Is it easy? No. Is it worth it? Absolutely!
