I'm 64 and had to retire, after working All my life, due to health issues!! It does make you feel a bit redundant, kids are grown, off living their own lives with their kids, and you easily fall into a bit of a depression. So I've started watching make-up shows, how to dress for your age shows...and I've modernised my wardrobe, and make-up and how I use it and how I style myself.... it has made me feel better about myself and how I feel about a quieter more relaxed time of my life...where I can focus on myself now, instead of everyone else in the family, which as a working mother, we all tend to do .... finally, it's ME time!!! My husband and I have been on a few cruises and are starting to enjoy retirement. ❤❤

Take one layer lay it on your lips and then powder your lips. Aha! Give it a try. It only lets a little bit of the powder on. Does that make sense?

Great look Dez. I am also feeling that my eyes need more emphasis or they disappear! I do the exact same look on my eyes, just a little toned down for daytime. I do a light matte shadow and a very fine line of brown pencil with a soft brown shadow traced over it to soften. Finished with one coat of black mascara. With my eyelids getting more wrinkled by the day this gives enough emphasis at the lashline to make my eyes pop without having to faff with a lot of complicated eyeshadow contouring. Then for evening I would amp it up slightly as you have done. It looks gorgeous on you!

Certainly the only one that I believe, that hasn't had plastic surgery (of all those movie stars) is Helen Mirren, i know Jane Fonda certainly has had some nips and tucks. The rest of us just rely on picking up little make-up tips to care for our skin, and smooth and hide little faults.

It is pricey, though, so if you fancy trying out see if you can get some samples. Ah Marjorie you are of course completely right! I'll tell you why I use that as a "thing" - the KZbin beauty community has a lot of "over 60" or "over 50" taglines but not many over 70s, so I'm taking the liberty of creeping up into that space,. But honestly, another reason is that I am hoping to reach 70, as my mum didn't make it, and I want to know what it's like on the other side, so to speak. I may be incorrect, but it does seem to me that more of my dearest subscribers are commenting that they are over 70, which I am delighted about, and also KZbin's demographic report lumps everyone who is over 65 together - so we - ok - nearly 70 year olds need more visibility!
