Im Jamaican but sad to say I have not been to Jamaica in over 25 years, Im so ashamed of this but seeing this video has opened my eyes to the kind of food that we're consuming here in the USA consisting of lots of sugar and chemicals and my body is telling me ,I loved the ital , vegan food thats prepared there , I m working on coming to Jamaica early next year and I hope I'd be able to visit or possibly stay at this location ...I appreciate all involved in this video and thanks coco boy and coconut sugar for sharing this with us ..❤❤

Unless your an Afrikan, taino, or awarak, who made it there before slavery, you have perverted your own god. If not, how is it a blessing from God when you were forced there as a slave? Your god OKs slavery? Or are you a european who stole the land becuz if so, how can God bless you to steal? Which of these are you Ms.Beverly?

The people of Jamaica are majority African. Hence, we are an African nation outside of the African continent. RastafarI is Afro centric and Africa focused. The people in Africa show us more, love and respect than you or any Jamaican anti African minority on the island. And yes the Rastafari culture is indigenous to Jamaica; despite all the persecution by the likes of you and all the colonial genocidal institutions on the island.

You were very right when observing that more men taking on cooking roles in Jamaica even within the family dynamic. All of the men in my family can cook and take pride in it. Their cooking skills aren't limited to grilling either. It's something I always loved about my culture. Jamaica was also a matriarichal society for many years, with women being pivital to the maroon movement. Look up Queen Nanny xx

There’s no such thing as ‘Afro’ Jamaican. All Jamaicans are just that - Jamaicans. Some people - like you - always like to divide and pigeon hole people based on race or perceived race. That is something that they do in the USA, UK, Canada etc. - not in Jamaica. Jamaicans are from varied ethnicities but all identify as simply Jamaicans!

Sistren and brethren are actually vestiges of old English. Jamaica's English or Patois may still use those old English words given the fact that the English have been out of Jamaica for nearly 200 years. Just like Haitian Creole is peppered with old French words that are no longer used in France.
