Sorry for not uploading frequently lately! My master's thesis oral defense is next week. I hope I'll be free to create more content (and maybe start teaching classes!) soon 😎

oohh good luck for your master ^^ and yaa, i think it would be a good idea if you (have time) do a vote of some Chinese grammars and do a live class teaching it

I heard a teacher once say it's better to call it the "finishing" tone instead of neutral, and that it's similar to unstressed syllables in English.

Good video. I learnt to speak fully fluent Cantonese,I can understand a lot of 台語 but I've only just started learning Mandarin. This video is helpful.

Excellent explanations of the neutral tone! At 4:45, that’s interesting how different pitches have different meanings! But what makes this difficult is that other languages use it the other way around😭 I feel like other languages usually use a low-pitch ending to show certainty and a high-pitch ending in to express uncertainty. It’s a bit tricky lol but I’m glad you taught it to us!

Thank you , I hope in the future there'll be a much topic for tones. I've been research about this tones especially beijing ren, there's so many neutral tones and some stressed exagerated tones. Sometimes their 1st tone sounded short and stressed simmilar to 4th tone😅 and made me wondered... How is it possible for Chinese people to communicate with minimal misunderstanding?

謝謝,老師 (if my second 謝 is not neutral tone I hope teacher does not mind)

I was rooting for Taiwan in the Little League World Series. Tough way to lose the championship in extra innings. Best of luck going forward for the boys of Taiwan.
