I discuss why you might want to get a PhD in Business Administration or a Doctor Of Business Administration.
This is part of my thesis help series where I provide help tips and thoughts for anyone that is interested in doing a Masters Or PhD in business school. It’s aimed towards those that are interested in doing research in business.
Why get a PhD in Business?
1. A good reason to get a PhD in Business Administration is that you are curious. You have to really want to know about the world and how it works. It will take a lot of work to do a PhD so ultimately you will have to be implicitly motivated to explore the world.
2. You like being around smart people. If you find yourself always talking about ideas and being bored by conversations about normal day-to-day things, than a PhD in Business Administration is likely a good choice for you.
3. You might get a PhD in Business because you are competitive. If you like to compete and think that you might have good ideas, then the PhD is worthwhile. Any PhD is a very competitive degree.
4. You can work on your own. If you like to work on your own, than a PhD in Business Administration is quite useful. There is much alone time during a PhD.
5. A PhD in Business Administration is useful if you see yourself exploring how managers, organizations, and markets work, but not actually applying these concepts. You are thinking about the generation of ideas, and not the application of ideas.

David Maslach is a research professor of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, starting a business, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.
r3ciprocity.com: Peer proofreading and editing platform
A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people's documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.
The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.
