Great video. So many people bash 12 volt systems but have only seen an everflo 5.5 with all 1/2" plumbing with leaks through a garden hose nozzle at the end.

I tell everyone this. That why we started 12 volt soft wash 101. Everyone blames the pump when it’s the plumbing. Wtg

Agreed. I still prefer gas soft wash systems but they also have a lack of industry knowledge hurting the use of them.

Cool. Impressive numbers. You said you don’t wash with those. How come? What do you prefer to wash with? Thanks

I bought a 5.5gpm 12v northern tool and used it for roof wash but barely got any distance with pressure washing gun and black tip. What can i do so it shoots farther? All hose on it are 3/4in

So run 1 in pumbing up until you hit the pump? My pump is 5gm the input and export are 3/4 fittings though.

My pump cycles when I use a certain shooter tip. What would cause this? Any help?

I run the everflo 5.5 and is plumbed 1" currently. I just bought a 1/2 manifold and was advised to replumb everything to 1/2". My hose is 5/8. I'm so confused now and already purchased everything. I dont really care if I lose a little distance just dont want ot see a drastic difference. I downstream most things anyway.

Im looking to finallly build a softwash system. What proportioners do you suggest? What are good pumps and what pumps should i stay away from? Im looking for beginning to medium grade. Not in the market for the best of the best at the moment.
@TexasPressureWashing2 жыл бұрын
I recommend a 3/4" or 1" proportioner for any system. I like the Remco pumps. 5.5 or 7gpm pumps at 100psi will perform best.

@Texas Pressure Washing What PSI are the checks valves you used on parallel setup? I'm going to plumb 2x 7 gpm 100 psi Delavan pumps in parallel, I'm not sure how the pressure switches are going to react with 2 pumps plumbed into 1 line.

Want to plumb a 5.5gpm 60psi into an existing 1" blend manifold that we use with a p40. Will the manifold bypass cause issues? Obviously only using 1 pump at a time never both at the same time.
@TexasPressureWashing Жыл бұрын
You will need to choke the water and SH down.

So with proper plumbing as outlined in this video a single 12v 7gpm pump can reach 50 ft? Is there any difference in distance when spraying vertically as opposed to horizontally?
@TexasPressureWashing Жыл бұрын
Yes
@joshuamckinley8707 Жыл бұрын
@@TexasPressureWashing Thanks. Can you tell me the difference between the pumps you used in the video and the Remco 5518-2I1-94A? All the specs seem to be the same. Wondering if one is somehow better than the other.

Will this work on a 5.5 gpm remco pump connected to a Midwest proportioner??
@henrydixon3159 Жыл бұрын
why do my Delavan 12v 7.0gpm 100psi pump cuts off and on it has pressure coming from my yellow tip but the motor cut on and off this is a new setup for soft wash.
@TexasPressureWashing Жыл бұрын
Likely pressure switch or restricting too much.
@danielcatches9376 Жыл бұрын
Do you think two of them pumps running together would work better than a 24 V North star, I seen a lot of bad reviews about the North Star. Does the remcos work really good?

Hi, would 1” suction hose be too much flow for a 5.5 gpm remco? Thanks
@premierpowerwashing66342 жыл бұрын
Putting together my 100 PSI remco. I've got a 3/4 proportioner from Jimmy Hall. Do you recommend running a 1" suction from the SH and water tanks or 3/4? My hose is 5/8 with 1/2npt crimped on from Lori. Don't know if I should ditch the crimps or keep them. Also not sure if I should bypass the reel with some camlocks or go through the reel.
@TexasPressureWashing2 жыл бұрын
Either 3/4" or 1" works. 1/2" NPT on a 5/8" hose is standard and what I use. We plumb through the reel. You can bypass it or use a 1" high flow reel if desired.

Change the plumbing to 3/4" the valves to 3/4" and use a 5/8" soft wash hose.

I would like to see both pumps running. Is it much difference in distance, or just more volume?
@TexasPressureWashing2 жыл бұрын
Just volume increase. No distance change.

Question: the inside diameter is smaller on the hoses. Should I get 1” hoses where the inside diameter is smaller, or bigger so the inside diameter is 3/4?

What high flow metering valves do you recommend?
@TexasPressureWashing2 жыл бұрын
Any 3/4 or 1" metering valves. Asahi are the only size I know of that high. GF stops at 1/2"
