Well, i, for one, am going to give it at try. I've had many toilets that require very little maintenance when using the bleach tabs (yes i know they're toxic). I stopped using them bc i caught my husky trying to drink the water. That's when the Mineral deposits started. I let it go a little to long before cleaning it and a few stubborn spots just would not come off. Well, i got a metal scraping tool and got them off - and damaged the porcelain in the process. I went back to the bleach tabs but it made no difference going forward. That toilet learned how to grow deposits no matter what. Now I'm desperate for a solution or I'm going to have to replace it. I'll get some lime remover and then try the salt to keep clean. And I'll definitely be back to update.
