I love these tips! I like texting my husband in the morning and thanking him for working hard so I can be home with the kids 🥰 lately, I send him a voice message so the kids can say hi too

Love this! I am a full time teacher, as well as a masters student and a french tutor for 3 families/week. My partner is a full time student. It feels like we’re constantly in the “grind” phase of our lives and we’re waiting for the “chill” phase of life. But seeing this, I see that it doesn’t necessarily get easier and life doesn’t just get lighter. These things need to be actively prioritized even through hard seasons.

For us when we both worked full time without kids was actually a chill period. Though that period was very short. 😂 Then kids came, house renovation etc. Our life is full and right now it's the hardest ever (with a toddler and a newborn with a serious disease) but I've never felt more loved. The little intimate moments and loving words mean everything to me! And also other acts of love, like last week my baby had a surgery and my husband traveled 6 hours every day so I can sleep a few hours while he was taking care of our baby. Our relationship becomes stronger and stronger.

The timing of this... We have a 6 month old and just had a looong conversation last night about things that need to change for our marriage. Sometimes it feels like we are living 2 separate lives.

Thank you for this video. Felt emotional watching because I realized how out of touch and distant my husband and I have been towards one on another lately. Praying we can get to a healthier place with some of these tips soon.

Great strategies, Beth💗! Your marriage speaks strength through these tips, thank you for this! Two babies under two over here and God has me praying for our third so thinking another little one is coming our way soon, prayerfully! The Lord has strengthened our marriage so much in this last year, truly Psalm 127 and 128. Praise God! “Give her the fruit of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates!” Proverbs 31:31

I have a 7 month old and it’s certainly hard to connect when you aren’t able to have a babysitter very often, so I’m glad this came up! Also, your darker hair looks gorgeous with that red color!

I love these tips so much!! What does your Friday night post sabbath realistically look like with toddlers? I know you mentioned watching a movie or playing a game (is this you and your husband post bedtime or with your kids?). I have a 2 and 3.5 year old and they do not watch television. I am wondering what games we could play as a family with them that small. Do you eat a certain meal or order out or have a traditional snack or dish you are eating this evening? Thank you!

Hey Beth, totally agree with you on your date nights at home. We live in Florida. So we have a large screened porch. We do not have a TV in our house at all so we did put one outside on our patio and use it for date night and have a movie night in and sitting outside in the evening, just makes it feel like we’re getting away cause we don’t often get time to just sit out so it makes it extra special so I thought they were with you one making date nights at home. We enjoyed that and look forward to it.

A question for you Beth (if you see this) how do you juggle getting enough sleep and staying up or getting up early to spend time together? With 2, 2 and under, I often just want to go to bed, especially since they both get up so much in the night and go to bed pretty late. I find if I stay up late or get up early, I am not in a great state due to lack of sleep the following day. But then there’s not really any “us” time. Thanks!
@BethGraceMoore2 ай бұрын
When sleep is rough (which is often) we usually choose either the morning or the evening to spend time! If we’re crashing early at night it usually means it’s a bit easier to wake up early too, and if we want to connect later at night we often need to catch up on sleep in the morning. A lot of the time it’s just a choice to opt out of sitting on our phones/zoning out on TV and choosing to spend time together instead!
@BethGraceMoore2 ай бұрын
We also work really hard to have all kids down by 8 so we can get our time together too 😂
@rachellipker90202 ай бұрын
Awesome thank you! Our 2 year old frequently falls asleep between 8:45-9:30 and then there’s usually a dream feed for baby girl shortly after that 😄 but ditching the phone to be present when possible is good

This video was very inspiring for me! Thank you so much. Only I don’t share the analysis that praying together protects from getting divorced. All that study found was a correlation, not a cause and effect relationship. It could just be that only very religious people prayed with their spouses and those same people were less likely to get a divorce because of their religious beliefs anyway. Just saying ;)
@BethGraceMoore2 ай бұрын
Sure!! I also know plenty of religious people who don’t pray together, though. Praying together is incredibly vulnerable and there’s something unique and unifying about it. I can definitely see why couples who are willing to enter into those moments together often are more likely to stay together for life. ❤️
