Big one for me, which is especially hard as I’ve gotten older, had kids, and all the time and financial burdens that come with that… it’s the six hour practice sessions. Those super long days where you can just shed and shed and shed. Your fingers can limber up as much as they physically can, so dexterity and speed limitations are as minimised as possible. Those metronome sessions, those repetitive, mechanical, clinical moments. When it’s time to switch to just playing, it’s all so much easier. The familiarity and comfort is just there.

I literally just walked out of my guitar room frustrated. Helpful video and perfect timing. Feel like my creativity has fallen off and don’t even know what to play. Think I need to find somewhere else to play and jam with some other people.
