this is soo true lol. It feels so much better and less draining when you decide to film who you actually are instead of what you're trying to be. I used to get so mentally tired after filming, but it was because I was constantly exerting so much energy. I think I forgot that people wanna see chill personalities too lol.

@@JiannisJourney yes, i used to think that "chill" was boring. i always felt like i had to be one of those loud and super confident creators or people wouldn't watch my video. i was soooo drained. now I'm teaching myself how to just chill and i feel so much better mentally/emotionally.

You wrote perfectly what I had been feeling, when I'm editing my videos sometimes I think that I should be speaking "more upbeat" like some of the creators I watch. But then I have to remind myself that how I talk normally is the best reflection of me

In my opinion, the concept of having to niche down sometimes comes across as "limiting" yourself. In reality it's just focusing on one thing that your audience can rely on you to always bring to the table. I think of MKBHD (a tech reviewer). If I want to know if something is worth buying, I know he is going to cover the aspects that are important to me. This is all because of the way he has focused his channel. Although choosing a niche has really helped me, this is just my opinion.😀 I wish everyone here success on their KZbin channel! 💪🏾

I love the concept of content creating. There's a human need to have entertainment but a lot of people do not like TV, the news is dying, Netflix and Hulu are too expensive for never offering good selections. People are starting to care about entertainment that makes them a better person rather than wasting time. AND SO WE EVOLVE to be our own entertainers while bringing a lot of enrichment to people's lives. I've been so inspired and learned SO much from KZbin.

Thank you… Thank You. You have no idea how grateful I am. We had lunch with new acquaintances today and one made suggestions that “you should do this, you should do that” instead of what I am doing right now because I will grow faster instead of just being stagnant. But I enjoy how I am doing things right now and I am being myself. I don’t want to be trapped in super technical / scripted way of doing things. So on our way home I was feeling so discouraged like I am not good enough for people to actually watch me and my journey so why am I even doing this. Then somehow I come home just now and the universe immediately just wanted to make me recover and move on fast and sent your video on my YT home page. Just tearing up a bit as a write this. the thing that hesitates me being a content creator is like what you said about not having the best looking apartment. I still live at home with family and I don't have the luxury nor privacy to record videos without them getting into my business asking me why I'm making videos, who i'm talking to, etc. I just can't fathom getting online showing the rough/unattractive parts of my personal life until i'm fully ESTABLISHED: own apartment/condo, own car, financially free, clear skin, and a toned/muscular body. I'm also afraid of family members finding my content creation of their personal social accounts because I simply don't want them being nosey on my whereabouts and my passions/hobbies. I also fear getting stalked by men as well!

I resonate with this video so much and with where I am rn with content creating. I’m really trying overcome my insecurities and let go of the belief that “I’m not cut out for this”. I’ve seen so many creators grow from 0 and I get so in my head about how I’m not growing after years of trying and making KZbin videos. Showing up as your authentic self can feel so vulnerable, but I this video has really inspired me. ✨Your personal growth needs to be at the forefront of your mind✨ Thanks you so much for these tips Lynette 💖💖💖

It's January 1st 2024 - I literally just wrote in my journal (that I dusted off with my last entry in May 2023) that I would like to work on growing my tik tok page. That I need to stop worrying about what others may judge me on. That I think journaling my days daily will help me create content. Then came to youtube and searched "IRL content creation" and this video was the third in my feed. As I was listening, I got so excited because you said pretty much exactly what I just wrote!! Thank you for this video & I look forward to watching more !! Happy New Year into 2024 !!

Really needed this, all of this is so true! I've been wanting to do more talking videos instead of me just showing what I'm doing. I love talking about what's on my heart and although I've done a few talking videos on tik tok, sometimes I get in my head about what I look like and it affects my creativity. I'm currently moving through this and I appreciate the timely reminder!

This video is great because it's about the foundation of creativity, human consciousness, and how we exist. Which is the unlock for success on KZbin, and life in general. The problem is the execution. Lynette's ideas are very profound, and very simple. These ideas require simple and direct action, so we don't overthink too much. But it's really hard for people to take action. We can read self-help books forever, but we can't find the energy to get out of bed. If life is too simple we get stuck. If life is too complicated we get stuck. I don't know why life has to be so sticky, but for some reason it does.

I’m so glad you said this! I have a decent amount of followers as I’m still growing but i literally tell them everything. Like I’ll cry on live 😂 and at first I thought I was doing too much but so many people love how perisonalble and vulnerable I am because the influencer world has become very one lifed -luxury- but there are so many other ways to live and people are just trying to see how to navigate it and get exposed to that by finding someone they relate to so I switched from “Black Girl Luxury” to just being myself “Black girl working who just graduated, working 2 jobs, becoming an influencer, who might go to Grad school, on the journey to having her own business and buying her time back so she can be more active in her community and help people”. There are people can relate to that and there are people who can relate to you just being you! Everyone doesn’t want to live a high luxury life or buy name brand, everyone doesn’t want to work a 9-5, everyone doesn’t want to be a KZbinr. Maybe you have a small business and instead of having an online store and scaling it they just want a store front or maybe they want to work multiple different jobs because they like the experience.

@Kimaria unique, You make such valid points! I am that black girl who is in grad school and working, on the journey to become better mentally, owning my own business, etc. In addition, I've been contemplating on sharing more of my personal emotional stories...🤔 comments here are giving me a lil nudge.

@@lynellb yes!! share what you feel comfortable sharing but I would LOVE to see that personally! Especially because your life path is similar to mine. I’m a first gen and I know little about grad school. I also want to work for myself and do social media full time but I absolutely love the work I do know my community with teens I could never give that up. I want to advance my education to advance their lives but I love creating videos & content as a hobby & it just so happens you can get paid from it. I want to show people that you can do both. You can do social media with your own business and turn around still have a profession! I’ll probably end up combining the two one day, who knows but SOMEBODY will enjoy it and watch it & NEED it or find it interesting.

I needed to see this video because this has been my affirmation constantly for the last 3 months. I just had a horrible car crash that not only hurt me physically, mentally, but also financially, as driving was my career for the last 5 years. I've wanted to start content creating but I just haven't had the courage to do so. My biggest barrier is truly not wanting to edit, anything! I have to find away to get around this because I know I have a lot to offer the world in telling my story. I will continue to ask the universe to show me the way, 🙏🏽

the older you get the harder it seems to try to be something that you are not or try and follow by something you are not okay with. I believe it's because we become more self aware with age. So anything we want to do in our lives we just want to do it in the way we chose to and not how we are told or think we are supposed to do things.

I am so extremely grateful for this video! I have not seen any other video like this or anyone else talk about content creation like this! 🤯🤯🤯 I am a Mental Health Advocate and for so long I felt like jobs were sucking the life out of me despite feeling like the work I was doing was in my purpose. I feel like God has been pushing me towards creating content and I have literally been paralyzed with fear. I think maybe I was focused on how perfect I had to be and how much of "expert" I had to show up as and everything in me was like ABSOLUTELY NOT! I can't imagine constructing a whole successful life, I'm unhappy with and that's not true to me just to please the world! Yuck! I know that's not even what the world wants or needs anyway. Thank you for the encouragement and clarity to move with. Thanks to everyone in the comments too. I am a brand new subscriber and I love the community here already.

And then when I decided to stop and take care of myself, to distract myself with something, I opened youtube and this was the first video that was recommended. I took it as a sign and opened it.
