I have to do that! Thanks for the inspiration. I am ALWAYS color-matched too light, too cool/pink by associates. Many of the associates do have a deeper skin tone and might be assuming that all old ladies like me are fair, pink and or cool. They usually end up looking too gray or even ghostish on me. Gotta get rid of these!

I like this Falsies Maybelline mascara! I wear it in Meta Black. I also love tubing mascaras. The trick is not to choose a too liquid formula like Milani or Thrive. I recommend the one from Caliray.

Hi Cindy! I love decluttering videos. I have a very small amount of makeup and I keep it in a cutlery tray. I don't use much and many days wear none at all. I have never tried a tubing mascara, I need to look for one. 😊👋

When I buy a base product that is too dark/yellow/orange/pink, I mix it 50/50 with L'oreal Lumi Glotion in the fairest shade or a sunscreen. Since I spent good money on those products I would much rather find a way to use them then throw them out. there are also specific shade adjuster products (LA girl?).

Hi, thanks for your suggestions. I need to darken these shades & make them less opaque... more sheer coverage seems to look best for my mature, dry skin. Perhaps a darker tinted sunscreen and a bit of moisturizer might work. Thanks for recommending your tips to salvage and perhaps save these from the bin. 💜

Great declutter. Good job getting it to fit in the container. I am definitely NOT a makeuo minimalist. Lol. But I still somehow manage to use up products. And I've been decluttering by category all year. I live knowing that I can reach in any drawer or bin and pull out majeup I know that I love and that it will work well for me.

If I’m choosing complexion products… Now I will always go to Sephora for a sample size (free) before I buy !! … they limit you to 3 or 4, but seriously why continue to pay ~ $30 when the color match is so off or it oxidizes in a few hours? … Trinny London, though I’m not a fan of their ‘makeup products, does send samples & I SO appreciate that!!! So many companies (including TL) have online color match features .. however, for me not one has made an accurate match 🤷🏼‍♀️… I am SO OVER trying to find my “magical match” … as you can see I’m decluttering so many that didn’t work & were recommended by associates! It’s very frustrating… of course Sephora has mini sizes, which I’ve taken advantage of. However, they price adjust to account for minis, which is really annoying… not the same price per ounce. I definitely empathize with your struggle.. My ultimate solution is to find a no/make up, makeup sheer formula. They tend to be more flexible and work for tones within a defined skintone range. Ultimately the struggle for complexion products continues which is ultimately why I go for investing time into my skincare vs makeup.
