I think this is definitely a great place to start. And do it no matter where you are in your process or experience level. If you are trying to learn to play the guitar, for example, you don't only do the scales and drills. You learn your favorite songs. Hundreds of them. From those songs you are able to glean stylistic choices and things which will help you create your own music. I don't know any musician who has never learned other people's songs. Why other artists don't do this as well is crazy to me.

Im no expert as a kid, but if u wanna follow my advice, carry on reading :) *My approach to drawing is don't sit around watching these videos, there is no proper way to get better at drawing instantly, the method I use is either go on Google and find a picture then try and draw it by looking back and forth, (I have a video of my springtrap drawing if u wanna see what I made in a day lol), OR, make up something in your head. But one thing people haven't actually told you, is that you need to describe the character. Writing down the characters description can help you picture it better and then draw it better, Now, you will have heard this a million times, but I need to remind you, Practice..its the key to getting good. And patience, the reason I say practice makes you good, is because of this quote: "practice makes progress", now I know most of you will have heard this quote: "practice makes perfect", but, that is wrong. There is no perfect, there is only progress, and a goal. You practice to make progress to reach that goal. The goal is your expectation. As you progress you will hit that expectation, but don't worry, that goal will go higher once you achieve the first goal. Also, don't compare yourself to others, sure, you can take inspiration, admire someone's art...but don't EVER say: "Oh man, I'll never be as good as you :(", its stupid. Of course you will, buuuuttt you won't.. see, you will reach as good as them, but as I said before, there is a goal you have, your expectation. But don't put that expectation high, don't work yourself too hard, and don't let art be the main priority, I'd say when you have free time do it if you can. I hope this helped some, but in other cases it probably won't. Anyways, thats all!*

I have a problem of drawing too fast when I hear other people spend 9 hours on a drawing and at most for me it's 5 I feel guilty and start doubting if I am even trying and asking myself if I add enough detail which I do but I end up thinking what if my drawings are crap and because I don't spend as much time on them as other people that makes them worthless I practice traditional art

I know I'm 2 months late to say this but you should just keep trying , it's ok to make mistakes everyone makes mistakes. And you dont need other people to look at your drawing to keep them to yourself, I reccomend showing other people to ask them what I could do to make them better.

I can draw things like cartoons "fairly", I say that loosely, easily. So long as I can look at the picture. But just coming up with something in my head and thus applying it to paper is a wholllleee other story 😅😂.

I think the key to doing that is just starting. Accept that youll be bad at it first, but eventually you'll get better at putting images in your head onto paper. Or maybe search for things that are similar to what you see in your head for guidance. I'm hoping I'll be able to do this one day too. Would be a cool skill to have. To create your own world.

I suggest breaking the image down into shapes (circles/squares) and focusing on proportions,, most beginners artists focus on the outside lines first and that what usually ends up is a wonky drawing since the proportions are off
