Thanks for the great video, Chang! In the examples with “你吃饭了吗” is there some kind of common response? Similar to how in English we often say “Fine, thanks. How are you?” in reply to the question, just as a part of small talk. Or is there less of that culturally, so when people ask it’s more of a genuine question? Thanks again for your helpful videos! 😊

I teach a group of Chinese kids online. At the beginning of the session one of the kids asked me if I had eaten yet. I thought it was a strange question but now I wonder if she was saying that as a greeting, Lol. I❤中文
