I love all three KZbinrs you mentioned too! I’m 61.5 and will be telling my boss this summer that I’m retiring January 2026. We are ready financially-my husband will work 2 years beyond my retirement. so that gives us a transitional period to adjust to salary loss vs, drawing from our 401ks. IRAs then social security. I like my job but don’t love it and instead looking forward to traveling around the U.S. to visit our kids and grandkids and my siblings multiple times during the year! Plus increasing my volunteering on charitable work, church

I also watch Joe’s videos and between you and him, I’ve been able to feel more comfortable with retiring early. I will turn 61 in January and am retiring after February. I am a little concerned about becoming a spender instead of a saver but I will prevail. Keep the great videos coming Azul!

Joe's story really resonates for me, too. I am also 60 years old and similar backaground but only now retiring in May 2025. Also, I am Canadian, which as you might have heard is your 51st state! (Kidding!) Like you, Azul, he has a lot of great advice and perspective to share. Watching and following you two has helped to move up my retirement decision by months if not years.

Love your videos and advice. It is so easy make a financial plan either yourself or let someone do it for you. There is far less advice out there for the changes in mindset - answering questions from what am I going to do? How am I going to transition from being a saver to a spender? These questions are probably more important than the whole financial side. Your channel is one of the exceptions.

learn to be content in quiet spaces never turn down an invitation to a gathering find a project you can complete within a day, a week, a month, and a year if you have a lot of money, don't deny yourself if money is tight, live on the cheap more cheaply than ever before journal your memories, organize your photos, stay in touch with those that are far away face the inevitable, buy your cemetary property, write your will, create a trust, give instructions to a friend and family member if your lawyer, accountant, doctor, and dentist are younger than you, start shopping for a new team to see you to the end if you complete all this and you are still bored, off to Vegas or go on a crime spree...do something

The truth is, a reasonable retirement age (60 +/- 5 years) is attainable for a large percentage of the population. It’s easier with higher income, but you need to start early in your career and pay yourself first, and for the most part stay away from non-mortgage debt.

I subscribe to Joe, great content! I believe we should have a minimal amount of "lifestyle creep". What's the purpose of making an extra $50k or $100k, if you can't enjoy it while you're building it? There are things you can do at 35/40 that you won't be able to do at 55/60. I always say, "I enjoy today while preparing for tomorrow!"

Thanks for the educative video.... With Trump's presidency, economic shifts are expected to be significant, especially given the current recession and the potential impact of future rate cuts. Although rate cuts might not boost inflation as hoped, they may lead banks to further restrict consumer and corporate lending, contributing to a deflationary period for various assets. This environment could result in declining stock values, retail and housing sales, and rising unemployment due to layoffs. For investors, a diversified portfolio especially with stocks and cryptocurrencies offers some protection, serving as a hedge amid volatility. Both long- and short-term trading strategies can help manage risks, providing stability as markets adjust. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 2Btc’s o a decent 32Btc’s in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Kathleen Eisen, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
