I just did the same. what we should of done is started off with kettlebells and calisthenics to build foundational strength and then powerlifting / body build but we did vice versa b/c society brain washed us. It’s crazy how far body weight and one heavy Kettlebell can go even for intermediate athletes

Omg KB Training was something I felt like I had been missing out on in my 40yrs of life lol. I trained with KB only during covid and the following year and I shed a shit load of fat and gained a new functional strength and became more flexible… as part of my experiment lol I have since stopped tracing period and boy let me tell you my gut and lack of mobility is testament that in my experience KB training was way more beneficial than any weight training fad regiment out here on the web or provided by some over trenned/test trainer at the gym. Kettlebells are the most functional way to lift weights to get strong, efficient and to gain muscle. Regular weights in my opinion, is kinda outdated, even tho some movement are needed for athletes. I'm talking here for functionality. If your goal is getting bigger then go for the regular weights.

I got very hungry a few hours later, which is not normal for me since I already ate breakfast. I workout 5 days a week, but today was the first time I added the kettle bells, so I really believe that’s what was behind my hunger a few hours later.

Kettlebells are like dumbbells, just harder to handle for pressing movements. Most kettlebells can be replaced with dumbbells, but not vice-versa. Most gyms do not even have heavy enough kettlebells to do any actual work with. They are fine for general fitness for beginners and people who are into certain novelties but they shouldn’t be romanticized as the best way to train.

The secret to kettle bell training is to avoid the nonsense...Use your precious time in your life banging out "Around the world" calisthenics routine every other day and progressing on the following compound movements...slight incline bench press...with either parallel bar dips or incline close grip bench press...military press...squat...alternating with leg press each lower body workout...rdls...a supported row...and either deadlift or to really overload the back rack pulls...accessory work consisting of calve raises alternating between standing and seated...the biceps will get enough stimulation for growth if you are not happy with your bicep growth then add a bicep curl that works the biceps efficiently...triceps get plenty of stimulation for strength and growth growth from the bench presses...dips...military presses...for a complete program for natural lifters feel free to dm...Big up to Jeff Bridges for his kettle balls...Nice 1.
