That pork dish you had is not salty, it is the authentic coorg style preparation. They usually put some sort of sour fruits in pork curries.This spicy and sour, semi-dry pork curry gets its peculiar dark colour from the special vinegar called ‘Kachampuli’, which is derived from sour fruit, locally known as ‘Panna Puli’. You mentioned hotel coorg cuisine, there also you can taste similar type of souring pork dishes.

If u guys are passing through Udupi, i recommend visiting Agumbe and Koodlu waterfalls enroute. Also Jain basadi and bahubali statue at Karkala is enroute. And do try the fish meal from Thimmappa, Udupi.😌

Really a disappointing trip indeed, not because you didn’t get the pork dishes at the restaurant but you have missed to film a great place like Madikeri, the whole Karnataka wants to see its forts landscapes and sceneries some of the movies of Hindi and Kannada nicely portrayed.
