You make it look so simple, yet it comes out looking so good! I've never painted before, so in these videos it would be helpful for someone like me to know what type of brushes you are using. Is there anything special about them? Do you cut the ends of the brushes to get the effects you are looking for, or is it all in your application and techniques?

So, I don't cut my brushes at all, but I was using a severely frayed brush to get the spotted texture, if that helps you. For the snow, I believe I used a small flat brush. I actually don't know much about brushes either :). I just try to find the brush that gets the texture I'm looking for.
