You gave some advice about dropping pitch on duplicate tracks to give stuff that "pop". Well. For the first time.....I made my drums "pop" right through my headphones. My kick never sounded so thorough with that professional bump. You made me aware of how pitch makes artifacts clean and brings out tone with parallel compression. I now pay special attention to every chain for every part of my mix. Along with limiter -3db compression and wide delay, pitch changing on parallel tracks is the bomb Thanks for doing what you do.
Delay chain, as digested by a guitarist: 1. Distortion 2. Flanger/chorus 3. Reverb/Delay 4. Delay/Reverb Delay before reverb sounds more like a room. Reverb before delay sounds more like a cloud. Flangers or chorus makes your delays swirl. Also, I did the math once, and 1 millisecond is physically equivalent to one foot - so if you want your delay to be 100 feet away from the lead, 100 millisecond delay will do it! Thanks for explaining the feedback, and for the sidechain demonstration!!

Good lesson on vox delay.I do have a correction.The "fractions on the Wave delay are rhythms 1/4 =quarter note.1/8=8th note 1/16=16th note etc.. this is common on most delays.
@LaghimaMusic4 жыл бұрын
You could apply distort or even like guitar amp that’d give a unquie delay also to since you have waves you can throw a doubler on the delay bus but kill the center on double so it’s strictly on the side make the middle vocal more clean
