I saw a similar video once and forgot a small detail. It's great to see your video. It is very easy to follow. Thank you. I love you because I must rip side seam on ALL my store bought pants that are always too wide in the leg for my skinny legs. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I am ,74 and needed your video since I was in my 20's. Better late that never. So glad I found you now. Dawn🥰

Thank you thank you, so clear so well explained and demonstrated. Glad you mentioned cutting looper threads not the end of world. I am sure I would cut it and be in a panic. You make a great instructor. Plus you voice is pleasant, loud enough and not racing the clock, and no unnecessary chit chat.

Thanks so much for an excellent explanation and demonstration. I have never previously managed to remove overlocker stitching. I feel more confident to do so now.

This tutorial was super, super super, I've been looking for a long time how to unroll serger stitches easily. I finally found it with you. If we don't find the right thread to pull out, we have to unravel it for a very long time before we get to the bottom of it. Thank you very much for the good advice and I finally found someone who deals with this problem as well. 🙂

I knew there had to be easier way. During the Summer I like to wear sleeveless T-shirts with a handy pocket. But I have not been able to find them the last few years. All the "sleeveless" shirts have those large arm openings, and I don't care for them. I've cut the stitching on a couple of shirts, but It always takes a lot of time. Hopefully I'll remember this, come late Spring.

Very interesting! Wondering if you could help me with an issue. I'd like to join two pieces of fabric (flat) for a project. The seams/ overlock have to be quite strong as the cloth will be pulled taut. But then I need to be able to "rip" or separate the seams and work with the two pieces, so cannot have it that the seams then fray. Hope I have made sense? lol

Is there any secret way to unstitch reverse stitches? By that I mean where the thread is on the other side of fabric that has been doubled so that you can’t get to it
@TheFabricNinja Жыл бұрын
I would probably just slide my seam ripper between the layers you're going to end up with a lot of small pieces of thread but it will work

I watched this and had really high hopes. I'm trying to disassemble a gown but the thread chain has no roundish loops. Just very sharp, very narrow V's. I do see the two rows of thread but cutting them does not free them up at all. I told a seamstress friend about it and she offered to demonstrate. After 20 minutes or so she was cussing a blue streak and told me to burn the gown.
