Using black stove polish can indeed be effective in enhancing and darkening the black patina on certain surfaces. It's a common method for restoring and maintaining a deep black appearance. Just ensure to follow the product instructions and apply it evenly for best results.

You know me, I watch yours over and over. Just did again. Tip: Instead of painters tape try rubbing chapstick on the glass, it's a grain of salt type tip. ~H

Ha! I love you Helene! And, that's very interesting... chapstick, never heard of that before. Makes sense actually, that it would repel whatever you're applying. Although do you really think it would work for the stove polish? Thank you!!!!!🫶😊

Yes! Thank you! Not sure about the heat thing but I have noticed that my patina is a bit blacker when I patina immediately after I solder. It's so weird! Have you tried this way you mentioned yourself yet? If so do you agree? I'm always interested in learning new things! Thanks so much! 😊

Confused? Do you use the regular black patina than use black stove polish on top of that? Than use the polish to shine, is there a step missing here that i didnt catch? Thank you

Nope you got it! Patina, then stove polish, then if you choose to you can wax or not, depends. I use pledge after I buff the stove polish. I'm going to do a follow up video asap. Hope this helps and makes sense. If you have anymore questions, feel free to reach out! ✌️🫶😊

Can you use this AFTER waxing? Just discovered this product, already waxed piece 😢

To be honest I'm not sure, I've never waxed before using the stove polish but .... I really don't think it should be a problem. I say go for it and give it a try. Anytime I'm not sure about how something will turn out I do a little test piece. But I say go for it! 😉😁🫶🤞

Looking up the polish online and could only find dark grey Williams polish. Is that the color you use in the video? TIA for your response!

The link to the product I use is in the comments underneath. But to answer your question, no it is not the dark grey Williams polish. If you have any issues, don't hesitate to ask! ✌️🫶😁

Great tip! And so true! Thank you! I did wind up using painters tape over the textured glass in this piece. Better be safe than sorry right!?! 😜😁🫶
