The number one thing you need to know about taming parrots will help you gain their trust. Use the knowledge that they are curious about humans to let them come to you, making taming a lot easier and less frustrating.
A curious parrot will come to you. A safe, happy, well- fed parrot will want to befriend you.

I love the toy! I have to hide paper towels. I also love African Grey parrots. There is something so special about their look. I love their eyes. You can actually see them thinking. Thank you for another wonderful video. 🥰

My mom has an African Grey and he adores her. Every time I come to the bird, they always approach me and put their head down for me to massage their neck, but they've also done that to try to get me close enough to bite me before. So as interested as he/she is in me, I dont trust touching him/her without any attempt to bite me. I dont know if they sense my nervousness or what but as much as I'd love to get close to them, I dont trust they're not going to bite me

I completely understand! I do believe they sense the nerveousness but... I watch carefully and decide whether they want to be friend or bite when I meet one I don't know :)

Please help I adopted a 11 year old African Grey. I need to bond with him and train him to get out of the cage. He was left in the cage all the time. Kind regards Amelia

@@ParrotBlisshave you ever got to make a video on this I also need help with the same thing. I have a Congo that’s used to be handled a lot then she bit the owner and was caged then another lady got her and would let her out and got her to where she’ll go in and out but still no physical contact

@@eabird4358 That sounds like you have a colorful flock! I don’t find that a lot of species get along with others, although you have some exceptions. If they’re in their own cage of their own space, they would be fine.

Are all your African greys pluckers? There is no way to stop that? I know they get a reward from doing it and then it's hard to break.
@ParrotBliss
@ParrotBliss 2 жыл бұрын
Actually, their feathers mostly don’t come back because they’ve damaged the follicles. Fortunately they don’t pluck more. They were all pluckers when I got them, they were adults already.

For me, the best way to tame a parrot is to purchase a chick. Always touch it beak, head and body so it will be familiar and comfortable with human hands and fingers. Also, ask others to do it. Start teaching basic training as early as possible. Devote a lot of time with your parrot.

CLICK BAIT! I'm sorry but this is a totally pointless video. It deals little to nothing with taming but instead is just a word sallad of general, speculative, and unstructured opinions.
