Paddle pop stick? That's adorable. Ours in the US are popsicle sticks.

We have a brand of creamy ice creams or popsicles which are called Paddle Pops. The name came to represent all sticks. A bit like Hoover as a generic name for vacuum cleaners.

are you using transparent alcohol ink or opaque ? also, for the white can I use white mica powder or do i have to use white alcohol ink?
@sherivegasartist Жыл бұрын
I used all alcohol inks for the colours and the whites. Alcohol inks are light and there for float in the clear resin creating this effect. If a pigment is to heavy it will sink to the bottom of the mould. You can you other pigments that are not inks they just need to be light

I use the Pinata white mixed with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol and any alcohol ink blending solution and the blooms are AMAZING. Solution is 50% ink, 25% alcohol and 25% blending solution.

Blending solution?
@SuchAClassicGirl-dx2ip Жыл бұрын
@@photosbyparisi always thought blending solution was basically alcohol but perhaps I'm wrong
@Boogie_the_cat9 ай бұрын
@@SuchAClassicGirl-dx2ipyeah, it's either isopropyl or denatured alcohol. Cheap blending solution might be xylene (paint thinner).
@Boogie_the_cat9 ай бұрын
It is incredibly important to use 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, because even 99% alcohol is 1% water, and that 1% of water will likely cause a patch of the resin to remain runny and not cure properly. I learned that the hard way.

They all look like don't. Hige white splotches everywhere and the peony/rose was so messy! I've seen plenty of creators use regular casting resins and create some of the most beautiful blooms. Yes, there is a waiting period, temperature and using the correct pigments.

Why do you speak so fast?
@Boogie_the_cat9 ай бұрын
KZbin has an option to slow down the video if you like. It's a better alternative than asking a question in the rude way you did. You couldn't think of a nicer way to ask that? Here's an example of a not-rude way to say the same thing: "I enjoyed your video, but it was hard to follow because you spoke so fast. Could you please try to speak slower next time?" Maybe if you word things in a way that isn't rude, you will get better results.
