Great video. I never would have thought the auto UVing in substance painter would work that well with a decimated mesh, but that trick with the grouping in zbrush really seems to help. I had been using polypainting but will have to give this workflow a try.

yea took a few 100 try's with different setups but eventually my laziness won over. so for static models now no more UV by hand.

how can something print colored if youre only using grey resin? or is this a fdm thing? or youre just coloring it for painting reference? im confused

look up the Mimaki 3d printer - it prints in full colour - mimaki.com/special/3d_print/. theres a few websites you can go to to use the machine. it prints beautiful full colour models.

best thing to do is spend time dialling in your exposure time on prints. find a test model and keep reducing the exposure time till you get it looking super crisp without failing.
