Thank you so much for this. That particular gaff/gimmick card is the one I was hoping to learn how to make. It turns out, it's a lot easier than I even imagined. You're the best.

While I appreciate you teaching us this card splitting technique, it's easier said than done. There is a knack to card splitting that I just can't get...and believe me, I've been trying for 20 years. I get about one-third of the way in and then it goes to hell. i just doscovered your KZbin channel and am definately subscribing. You are an excellent teacher and I have a lot to learn.

Good tutorial, shows some techniques I haven't seen before which is always helpful. At 8:30 about printing, the printing goes great if you use a laser printer, at home you can do black card faces with cheap black only lasers and if you don't own a color laser printer, which is much more expensive, then you can ask a printing service to do it for you (test at home as you advised first so it aligns up!). For monochrome laser printers printing red card faces you can try refilling with red toner (which is equal parts magenta and yellow, use a bit of black if you want it darker).

que tal Fernando, el prensador que utiliza usted lo puede vender y enviar a otro pais, una pregunta mas,, las cartas blancas si las venden verdad o todas las que se miran esta hechas por el mago.
@fernandop110 жыл бұрын
Saludos.

I make my Lazy Man's Gimmicked Cards by simply making color copies on a good color copier. I use double-sided tape to put together whatever kind of gaff I want, then take it to work where we have the latest and greatest copier. They are so good the only way I know the difference is of course the paper. I use double-sided tape and tape these to blank cards ($7 per deck, any magic dealer). With high quality white paper you can even get the gloss. I use the cheap paper and still get excellent looking work. For some of my tricks I lay a Half-Dollar coin on the card and make a copy. It's a finish for my Matrix routine where the coins end up absorbed into the card itself. The coins look very good, and a playing card with 4-half dollars absorbed into it is something people find hard to believe. I give it to them to keep as I can make up about a dozen of these dirt cheap. Kinko's also has good copiers too and the price is reasonable. I also do this with matchboxes and match books, which are very colorful, especially with something unusual embedded in them, like a torn corner of a card. I take a torn corner from a forced card, wrap a rubber band around it and the box. Hand it to the spectator and at the right time she finds both the card corner AND the rubber band have been absorbed into the matchbox cover. Women scream everytime...one even peed her pants. I love messing with drunks.

There are some things in this video that are simply not true. 1. Using Rubber cement always bleeds through the thinner face leaving dark spots or dark patches 2. The bleed through dark spots, never go way. 3. The aligning of the cards doesn't work the way it's shown in the video. A very small section on multiple sides of the card are always misaligned. 4. No matter the method anyone uses, the cards never align properly at all.

Amazing video, as always (FernandoP1 is a Master, and I don't care a sh... about his accent, so I'm a Subscriber). Question : I'm not completely satisfied with my home made double backers/facers. Though I scrupulously follow the whole procedure, my cards don't have the smooth and perfectly flat look of normal cards (there are always small undulations on the surface, and it looks weird). Can anybody help ? Thanks in advance and have a nice day.
