This is so dope. The actual process of making gimmicks feels sorta unexplored because most of the time they're mass produced for 10x the normal price. Nice to see creators make tutorials on this type of stuff. Especially because this is great value material! Keep it up!

this is so clever! i really appreciate these free gimmick tutorials since most gimmicked magic is paid. An idea is, instead of using the sticker or tape, you could take the part of the card you folded and make a little tab that can go under the half-moon cutout when the sticker is ripped so it clips in and you just have to pull the card forward a bit for it to retract

Llyod! Been a long time fan! You are the only person on KZbin right now educating the people on how it should be done. I mean there's no one here to teach the people aspiring to do magic the proper way to do magic.. I mean knowledge, psychology, gimmicks, subtleties, everything. You just brought the entire class of Ellusionist you had brought there to KZbin as of now. Not mentioning the superb video quality of yours. It blows my mind to see people are getting such quality content for free. I subbed you, I was not going to comment but I couldn't help but do it, your videos are so good. Feels like I'm watching a magic DVD. You gotta long way to go my man! Also my best wishes for LUX brother!

Great gimmick. Thanks a bunch for creating and sharing it! This reminds me of several card to wallet gimmicks on the market, but simpler, lower cost, more reliable, and far more organic. Before reconstructing the tuck a white flap that creates a retention sleeve could be added at the back and bottom. The locked and loaded gimmick would slide beneath keeping the gimmick lying flat. Just a thought that may be unnecessary but thought I would share the idea.

Another nice switching device! However, I don't much care for the quick jerky extraction from the box. You could turn the box slightly away from the spectators as you remove the card. The top flap will obscure the switch as you slowly remove the card. Toss the "empty" box side and reveal. No suspicious herky-jerky movements.

Another way I thought of to load the signed card under the box is to control the signed card to the top of the deck, reach for the box while doing a wrist kill grabbing a pinky break under their card (on top) and set the box on top of the deck grabbing their card with the box and lift up. Obviously leaving the box on top the deck for a few seconds to let it sink in and justify putting it there lol

For stability sake and to make deconstruction easier I would cut the side before the bottom that will keep the tuck case structural integrity while you cut the side making it flop around less then cut the bottom hope someone finds that helpful 🤓 …Five Ofhearts (side note if you gave the tuck a little squeeze on the sides when you pull out the signed card would that un stick the gimmick and make it go in the tuck case?) I’ll try it once I make mine just throwing it out there

Love the video. Great gimick. I loved how you took the time to explain some psychology and how certain effects with it point the method to be the box doing the magic as opposed to if being more is something to hold the card....thay kinda stuff is the real work. Very cool. I had a question? It's not meant to be negative in any way. Just a thought I had... You have a contest where you ask the viewer to subscribe and share. In turn.... getting more views on the video and more subs because of it as well...my question is this ....your viewers have now taken a real deceptive homemade gimick....with multiple routines describe and sent the video of how it works in depth. To everyone he knows. Friends and family etc....which kinda makes the gimick somewhat useless in that particular viewers circle. Cuz everyone he knows. Already knows the work on it lol. it's Basically like less learning a new trick. Practicing it. Then telling all your friends and family how it's done. With multiple variations and applications.....kinda makes it impossibly to use?... especially if all the sharing and subs causes this video to go viral. then who knows.. one of your viewers might have a corporate gig lined up. Where using that gimick would be the solution for that custom routine that needs to be done for the event ...however, now that the video is viral. Brenda from accounting saw the video and made one of those herself...and it spoils it for her. What if then it becomes so viral.. that down in the future a world war happens to start . And That one of your viewers has an opportunity to perform a trick for some world leaders. And could possibly stop the wars by doing an amazing magic effect/trick for them....much like that one magician (his name slips my mind) who performed "out of this world" for the 2 world leaders and it supposedly caused the war to stop because of the reaction it caused....so your viewer could have an opportunity to save the world from Armageddon....and uses this box. But the video is so viral. That the soldiers r coming up with tricks involving the box and it ends up fooling nobody and the war continues ......... Lmao I'm jk brother. I absolutely love this device. So much fun man. Keep up the good work.
