I think what I love and respect most about Rami is that he’s a self made star- he didn’t come from a rich family, he didn’t have his auntie or Mom make a couple of calls to a producer, he wasn’t a child actor, he wasn’t always at the right place at the right time, and most of all- he could’ve just been that random stereotypical Egyptian dude in a random movie and we wouldn’t have even cared because audiences just play along with middle eastern or Indian stereotypes and consider them fact rather than dumb Hollywood fiction. He’s a pure breed actor that hails from theater, he has a BFA, and to sustain himself financially while struggling like millions of actors till his 30’s is no joke. The man’s the epitome of honest hard work and success. He deserves his academy award, BAFTA, and all recognitions that come his way. He’s a gem

I have struggled with obesity for the last forty years. I have tried every diet and lost lots of weight but just gained it all back and more every time. I discovered Rami through Bohemian Rhapsody and was immediately captivated. I went and watched all his prior work and then worked my way through all the You Tube interviews I could find. Rami is so inspirational. His struggle and tenacious spirit has finally motivated me to take control of my health and my lack of discipline in my life. I am losing weight by using healthy tactics and using Rami's inspirational determination to work toward success. Every day I listen to at least one of his interviews and take that through my day to remind me that anything special is worth working hard for and that it won't be easy every day but each time I skip an extra helping, or choose a better food option I am heading the right direction to my goal.
