The dragon blood pellets and anayama’s one sen referred to a cut version of the dragon blood droplets, originally the pellet version was to be given to each sick person individually, Anayama would buy it from you for one sen, refusing to have it given to him for free. This would’ve been repaid later at the end of his quest line where he sells the note for one sen, a callback to before when you helped him. This was cut in the final game but the event is in the games files

I have a couple interpretations of what happened with Isshin. 1. Isshin just suddenly and tragically died with exceptionally bad timing while rushing to fight during the final conflicts of Ashina, but it is noted in the game that he's so old that he really could have died at any moment, so it wasn't unexpected to him or to us. The story needed Isshin to die in order progress to the final stages of the game and have the ministry invade ashina, and so Isshin's death may just been more of a plot contrivance with no external cause in order to move the story along and show how much his presence was keeping the ministry at bay. 2. Genichiro killed Isshin in order to finally take control of Ashina, but also to be able to have the Black Blade ressurect Isshin back to his prime as a final trump card to protect Ashina and the lineage of the dragon's blood if Genichiro failed to live up to his father's name. Genichiro is extremely egotistical, but he's also a very insecure person who both respects and resents Isshin more than anyone else, including himself. Genichiro could have surprised Isshin and electrocuted him, stopping his heart or his breathing, as it is also indicated in the game that old age has come for Isshin with the typical respiratory and cardiovascular issues that all elderly face, even if he was the most powerful person of his time. 3. Isshin was poisoned by one of the ministries infiltrators, who are extremely adept with the use of poison and they had been steadily infiltrating the castle and setting up around Isshin's location well before the final invasion of ashina. There are a few other ideas that are lingering in my mind, but these are the only logical conclusions that stick out to me. It is pretty much impossible based on Isshin's characterization in the story and his dialogue that he would kill himself at the moment of Ashina's final crisis, so even if he wasn't killed or killed himself, it's just as possible that he tragically died of trying to overexert himself at the moment ashina needed him most.

27:34 to support the claim that Isshin committed seppuku: samurai were told to lean forward during this act to land on their stomach to avoid their guts quilling out for everyone to see and Isshin was laying on his stomach. On the other hand Isshin didn't hold a short sword like a wakizashi or a tanto, which would be used for seppuku, but his katana. And samurai usually kneeled down for seppuku but we find Isshin stretched out on the floor.

I haven't read the comments so I'm not sure if someone made this remark before. Since I have been traveling to Japan quite often and I am interested in their culture, history and literature Sekiro quickly became one of my all time favorites as a lot of inspiration from real life. I think mount Kongo is the game's version of mount Koya (Koyasan) which you reach through a cable car after you take a train for 90 mins from Osaka. There they have Okunoin buddhist cemetery where many famous shoguns buried. Oda Nobunaga was buried there for example and his grave gloriously stood out. They have thousands of Jizo statues for sick or dead children or just as an offering to protect them. In the game, it is the opposite and they ended up having experimented on them instead. The amazing part is that they transferred temples from Kyoto and integrated them in mount Kongo. The one I'm quite sure about because of its unique design is Kiyomizudera which translates to Pure water temple. This makes me think the game designers chose this temple in particular to relate it to rejuvenating waters and the story of Robert. Fountainhead palace heavily reminds me of Itsukushima shrine and their floating Tori gate as well. Just an interesting thing I thought I'd share. Thank you for the video by the way.

Might have missed it, but the Naginata Spear that Sword Saint Issin pulls out of the ground is the same spear that General Tamura used in the intro cinematic. I believe that in the spirit world Issin and Tamura we're celebrating their reunion when Issin was summoned back to the living world and that Issin was just kinda borrowing it. I'd also like to point out when we fight "Sword Saint" Issin we are fighting him in his most powerful form from when he was younger, as when you die and go to the spirit world you assume the form that you had at the peak of your life.
@turbomixer17
@turbomixer17 2 жыл бұрын
That's a cool idea, I mean the reunion with Tamura. I knew that was the same spear (I think that Gyniobu also fight with that weapon, Isshin gave it to him when he took him into his ranks). I'd love to make more detailed video on specific characters and events, but I dont really think if there is a point in that. There are already many channels and videos out there. Still, thanks for your comment!

my opinion is this particular dragon came from korea. here's why. chinese dragons have 5 fingers, korean dragons have 4 and japanese dragons have 3. Legend goes as the dragons travelled from china to japan, they kept losing one finger from each foot as they travelled. when they reached korea dragons had 4 fingers on each foot. the sakura dragon has 4 fingers. the sword can be easily explained because they did start their travel from china, but this dragon seems to have stopped in korea, meaning its rightful place is in korea, which is also west of japan

1:08:05 I highly disagree on your statements for Sekiro's power because you did not consider Sekiro's Shura form heres a reasoning as to why the wolf is stronger than the Ashen One, but not Hunter Shura is what happens when a man kills purely for the thrill of it, and becomes possessed by the desire to kill. To elaborate on how bad Shura is, the "Demon of Hatred," one of two hardest bosses in the game, is a failed Shura, stopped from becoming Shura likely decades ago, but can still level entire battlefields of incredibly high-level soldiers singlehandedly. The Demon is a country level threat on it's own, but it's weaker than the player. Shura alone is terrible - given a half-competent, self trained host (the aforementioned DoH), it takes the single greatest warrior in the world, Isshin Ashina, someone whose continued life at old age, well past his prime, deters an entire invasion of the country, to deter the would-be Shura from going that path. Then Sekiro comes. A man who relentlessly trained eversince he was a child. A who could defeat Isshin Ashina in his prime, and does in most playthroughs. A man who is literally immortal; Revives in the middle of a fight unlike the other protagonists, doesn't age, doesn't die for long. A man whose very deaths kill others. A man who could wipe out entire countries with ease in just a few days, and does so repeatedly in just this one game. He becomes Shura, and nothing can stand in his way. At thar point in Sekiro, the world is doomed, and the first step he took was completely decimating an entire country Even when hes not Shura he's still very terrifying as he is able to learn every single art of combat under a day and is by far the most versatile fighter when it comes to techniques in combat Not to mention he can revive infinitely in lore Ashen One's only Great feats are beating SoC and Gael, the Lords of Cinder are way past their prime especially Lorian as hes quite literally crippled However, hunter himself is higher dimensional and we have no idea what he's capable of when he becomes a Great One, so i agree with you there

59:01 I think they mean that the Guardian Ape Duo and Schichimen Warrior fight take place in the same arena? It’s also odd that you get King Fichers ring from the Schichimen Warrior even though the ape ate her. Maybe she and the others the ape ate formed the Schichimen warrior?
@turbomixer17
@turbomixer17 Жыл бұрын
Yea, you're right. Thats what they meant. Maybe maybe, cool theory. My take would be that since Schichimen Warriors appear in places connected to death, maybe somehow they gather the essence of creatures that died there... or whose remains where there... and from that essence King Fichers ring was created... maybe... It's been a while since I played Sekiro

@@turbomixer17 No problem bro. The samurai would greet an opponent by declaring who they were and often saying why they would fight. They might say something like "I am Myamoto Musashi. I cannot allow you to pass this gate. Let us fight one another." The reason why it might sound like "Hi, whats up", is that the greeting would often be polite. They were gentlemen and it was a formal declaration of a duel. They might say "You are a strong warrior. It is regretable that only one of us will live today."
