Seriously awesome! Would you consider making a build guide, for those of us who might want to build it ourselves?

Really glad to hear you’ve reconsidered the “wet fingers” method, I like your new approach a lot more. Kudos for your persistence!

Thanks! The wet fingers method was more of a gimmick to make people laugh.

Great idea, love the finished USB drive. I'm wondering if it's possible to simulate a broken device if plugged in once, present the drive as read-only if you plug it in 2x in under a second, and as read-write if you plug it in 3x. That'd also make it a great device to transfer data to untrusted systems. And maybe configure it so that it uses the self destruct once it's rapidly inserted 10x during 5s. Is that possible with the current design, or would i need to change the design and maybe add a RTC for it to work that way?

Very nice! Glad you switched away from the wet fingers approach. Have you thought about maybe doing a version that uses a BGA Nand chip instead of the TSOP48 chips? Its way cheaper to buy large capacity Nand chips in BGA form.

Have you watched @CNlor 's video on driving a nixie tube via USB. I was thinking the same high voltage generator circuit can be used as a discrete destruction circuit. Nice video ;)
