Living in south Africa is hard. I haven't met ANYONE who has never been affected by crime here, other people see paranoia as a mental illness but in south Africa it's a necessity, always be prepared, always check and double check, always lock everything that can lock 😉

I live 3 klm.from Bainskloof .. I used to do restorative justice with prison ministry in Wellington (2 klm from Bainskloof). A juvenile prisoner told me he murdered and dumpred many bodies there, but would never confess to authorities bec if he did, he will never see the light of day. He then looked me in the eyes and said "And they were all older women!" I was older than him and the glint in his eye gave me a clear message! Thank God I never saw him again.

In about 2007 I was chased by 2 white men in a bakkie on the Bainskloof pass. I am still in shock about it. They definitely tempted to kidnap me, but I got away by not allowing them to pass my car. I am grateful I got away. All thanks to God!

I never understand the logic of criminals that say, "you've seen my face, so I have to kill you now." Even if the victims report the crime whether it be rape or robbery, those are not life sentences or the death penalty. More than likely you will be caught for killing the victim, so you might as well let them live.

I used to do a day trip every Christmas holidays to Bainskloof. The picnic area had such beautiful clear water. I even remember swimming quite deep and through various tunnels underwater. Shocking to think something like this could happen there.

Wow! This case reminded me of the Hannah Cornelius case too. Allot. Senseless crimes of sick minded oxygen thieves. Especially disturbing if you are from Stellenbosch. That would be awesome if you covered the Hannah case.

The Hannah Cornelius case is deeply disturbing and heartbreaking. Especially what happened to her family, after the fact.

Wow 😮 what a story. Such evil is terrible. Two young souls just imagine what they must have gone through is devastating to say the least. But very glad that they were caught and that Justice was done. Yes I agree with you that ex cop shouldn't have got out on bail. Thanks for sharing 👍

I’m enjoying your channel ❤. Is a bakkie a type of jeep or utility truck?

Please people 😢 Learn to drive with your car doors locked. This horrific murder could have been avoided if only they had not parked with unlocked car doors. I've heard of so many hijackings happening because of this.

In England today these cases would have been solved within 24 hours, because CCTV cameras are everywhere, in fish n chip shops and inside bars. You are watched all the time. In the front of my own abode I have two Blink surveillance cameras, watching front door and road, and they can be viewed on all of my families smart phones anywhere. My bedroom is on the third floor of my house and I cannot see the road or front door as the window is a sky window. But I can look on my mobile phone and see the road whilst sitting at my desk on my lap top.
