Thank you for the kindness of your comment! My wife of almost 30 years was a devout Catholic (being raised in the Philippines) when we started dating, I attended mass about 5-6 times with her. I had a sit-down with a priest, I questioned Catholic friends and purchased several books on the RCC. I have bachelor's and master's degrees in Christian Theology and I'm a Bible teacher. I know the Bible very well and I know how to research. From all that, it was obvious that the RCC was a pagan religion. Catholics pray to idols and dead people, some even worship them. Roman Catholicism teaches a works-based salvation, not simple faith in Christ as taught in the Bible, works has no bearing in our salvation. You venerate a man to be on par with Jesus! I ask a friend once that if the pope spoke ex cathedra and what he said directly contradicted the Bible, which one would he follow, he answered, "The pope". That is so wrong! Neither the pope, nor tradition, trumps the Bible. BTW, my wife started attending church with me and a year later she was saved and baptized and admits that she was not a Christian while in the RCC.

History accurately displayed tells amazing things. Check out the Didache Document. It was written around 1000 years ago and elements of it are said to be from around AD 70. It is a how to procedure manual of sorts for the worship service. Also, read the documents from St. Ignatius of Antioch. He was made Bishop by St. Peter himself and likely was tutored by him as well.

Amen! I totally understand because I was there too. I’m a cradle Catholic but always struggled with the veneration of Mary. This past year, God has opened my eyes to her magnificent place in history. Brother Keith, I grew up a Catholic. Like other Catholics, I was a "blind" follower of traditions. This sermon helped me appreciate my faith. You, Steve Ray, Jim Akin and other converts helped me destroy any doubts I have had about the Catholic faith. Although I told myself I'd die as a Catholic, I had doubts and questions about the Catholic traditions, especially the Rosary. I just recently started asking the Holy Spirit to give me wisdom and guidance, and I received them. I love our Holy Mother because she is the mother of our Lord Jesus. But after gaining a much deeper understanding of our Holy Mother's role, I love her even more. I might not be able to remember all the verses in the Bible to defend the Catholic faith, but all my doubts have been erased. I was blind, and now I see. The Holy Spirit is working through you. Strangely, I secretly memorized the Hail Mary prayer as a child. I was welcomed into the Church when I was in my 60s. God is patient. Father, I must say if you are now a priest, well what a blessing for those who receive your homily at the Masses. Another tidbit, Fr. Ripperger notes that Our Blessed Mother not only said yes, but "she never counted the cost".

Thank you for this video. Many people think that we catholics are heretics and that our devotion to the Virgin Mary is wrong. The same Lord Jesus Christ appointed her as our mother and that has a deep meaning that we can’t ignore. I encourage people to read the scriptures, and certainly not listen to Aimee if the writings about some of the early fathers, the Nagesteruim or Tradition, and especially not the Papacy. This talk is so full of holes it is astonishing. This chap is preaching an entirely different scripture and is certainly nowhere near the gospel of Christ. I just wish people would learn this.

Similar experience for me. Born in a non practicing catholic family, i got faith at 18 by reading the bible, and joined an evangelical church. And how could that be possible, given so many contrary interpretations? That is not how it works. Mary is the servant of God (Lk1:38). The servant does the will of their master. Your uncharitable dismissal of Mary, God’s servant, is a dismissal of God’s will. Read scripture, not verses alone. BTW, your verse doesn’t disallow God working through His creation. If you’re a Calvinist and think God’s sovereignty is somehow jeopardized like that, you’ve been misled.

I am a convert to the Catholic Church, and as a Protestant I often wondered why they only “ brought out”Mary at Christmas time when a young girl had the role holding the baby Jesus. I always felt that something wasn’t right about that as she played a vital role in our Salvation. Yes, because there would have been another Mary descended from David. There was nothing integral about Mary that required her & only her to give birth to the Lord. However, the Lord chose her, and as a result, she was blessed above all other women. But though she was the mother of Jesus, she was not “Mother of God” as taught by the Roman Catholic church, for the Lord’s divine existence preceded Mary. 29:51 Yes, Mary was “full of grace” just as each of us are when we are saved by God and reborn with a new heart. I ask God everyday to fill me with His grace, & I thank Him everyday for doing so.

With vast amounts of Protestant’s not really understanding the gospel message it is no wonder they fall for this lie. God is no respecter of persons so all believers share equally with Jesus in all the father has. We are joint heirs. So to place Mary in some position to be more greatly blessed is not scriptural at all. How can some believe that without Mary, Jesus would have had no way into this world. @ Ok, you are free to believe as you wish. I can see that you are quite emphatic in your dogma, & if that works for you, so be it. However, I will simply point out that none of the doctrines to which you allude are supported by a contextual reading of the Bible excluding apocryphal books. You may have other Catholic sources which support your interpretations, but they too are apart from the Bible & thus non-authoritative. Mary is not eternal in origin, she was born of natural human parents which made her human & therefore under original sin as we all are. She herself sinned before & after God chose her to bear Jesus, but that’s ok because God chooses sinful people to work His Plan. Saul/Paul caused the murder of several Christians, including Stephen in Acts, and sinful as he was, God chose him, & he primarily, to take the Word to the Gentiles. So why are you & others hung up on Mary being sinless? Do you think her sin would somehow contaminate Jesus? Sin is not contagious, though I think the Pharisees thought so since they were aghast at Jesus eating with sinners. So if Mary had to be sinless to carry Mary, then her mother would need to be sinless also in order to not contaminate Mary. And so isn’t Mary’s mother the Grandmother of God and Queen Mother of Heaven? But then what about *her* mother, the great-grandmother of God & Queen Grandmother of Heaven? She had to be holy also, and her mother, and her mother… going all the way back to Eve, holy & sinless before God; the Queen Mother of Creation! Yes? No? If Mary’s mother didn’t need to be holy then Mary did not either, and she was not. She was, as the angel said, “blessed among women”, but she had to also believe, repent, & put her faith in Jesus as any other person who is saved. Jesus was and is the ONLY perfect human who ever lived, the incarnate Son of God. God can use sinful, redeemed people to do great & wondrous things; as He used Paul; as He used Moses, as He used Mary. I will pray for you because you’ve put yourself on a dangerous path. The Lord commands that we are not to worship idols or to pray to any but Him. We are commanded to love & worship the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, & strength, and to love each other, even Mary, as ourselves. To elevate ANY human to the level of prayer or worship is to make an idol before God. I pray that the Holy Spirit will deliver you from this errant doctrine. 🙏🏼

Keith, this is beautiful. I actually had the thought the other night, “I wonder if I can find this sermon about Mary that Keith talks about in his testimony?”. Sure enough, I see you post this as an upcoming upload this morning and immediately clicked the notification! I stumbled upon your channel shortly after having my own realizations about The Blessed Mother a month ago (my father was a Methodist pastor and I’ve considered myself Protestant until a recent experience I had-I’m still processing it to be honest). Your story has resonated a lot with my Christian upbringing and your willingness to be genuine on this platform is admirable. I never would have imagined I would align with the Catholic Church but I can’t unlearn what God has been revealing to me lately. I sincerely thank you for putting yourself out there and helping me on my own journey. How wonderful that God is leading you to the one true apostolic Church! One of the best priests I've ever known was a Baptist convert & a Marine as well. He is so reverent and a good and holy priest. When you do join the Catholic Church, be sure to find a church that has a reverent Mass. Find a traditional Latin Mass if you really want to experience the Mass of the ages. It's amazing! This is so cool. I've heard this story a few times, It's awesome to see it now. I'm reminded of my time when I was very early in Reverting I called myself a "Born again Catholic" I was finding so much Truth studing Christian history, but I wasn't ready to let go of my endeavors to become a protestant pastor. It's what I wanted to do for God, but I had a strong desire to serve God and I was starting to realize that's not what God was Calling to do. God was Calling me to grow closer to Him and figure out what He wanted me to do for Him.

I was raised catholic, but really didn't understand her role until a few years ago. Now, I am so grateful to her for all her love and intercession. Thank you for reminding me to pray for the people in my life who aren't practising, and to ask her intercession. The amount of strength it takes to humble yourself Keith, to admit that you were wrong is something we will never fully comprehend as human beings in our spiritual life. You did as Mary did, perhaps not as quickly but nonetheless you humbled yourself. It hurts deep inside to realize you were not only in error but perhaps led others to it.
