THE SERVANT AND THE THIEF || ANIMATIC (@InkPotts tribute)

A 72-hour collaboration project with EdmundDashie1815, inspired by Ink Potts animatics and based on the musical "Monte Cristo", sponsored by Roman Ignatyev (music) and Julius Kim (lyrics, libretto). At the core of the musical is a novel by Alexandre Dumas-father of "The Count of Monte Cristo".
Benedetto (Tender Taps), mostly known as Andrea Cavalcanti, got an invitation to a royal ball established by the Count of Monte Cristo. Knowing that no one was watching him the thief decided to steal Tebelin's diamond that was placed in Monte Cristo's room, and then sneak away. Unfortunately Benedetto gets busted by Monte Cristo's loyal servant Bertuccio (Starlight Glimmer), who also appears to be Benedetto's adoptive father, which tries to convince Benedetto to stop. Unfortunately he fails to do so. Immediately afterwards the Count appears behind Bertuccio, telling him to let Benedetto steal the diamond, as it appears that it was a part of Monte Cristo's plan all along to avenge his enemies; Danglars, Villefort and Mondego.

The count invited you as a friend,
And that's how you thank him?
[BENEDETTO]:
I just love my lovely girlfriend
Not because she likes me so,

That she always hides under her bed.
You're not coming? Well, I don't care!
All the treasures will be mine!
[BERTUCCIO]:
Wait! Wait!
[MONTE CRISTO]:
Bertuccio! Do not interfere.
[BERTUCCIO]:
But he will crush your plan!

Not at all. The opposite.
