So the truth is out!! I wrote this song. Not David Haas, not Francis of Assisi but me, Richard Gillard. So glad it keeps going, keeps blessing and moving people.

My friend from New Zealand, Richard Gillard wrote this beautiful song. The Marantha singers took some liberties with the melody, however stayed fairly true to the original. If you google the song you can learn more about the very talented Richard.

Whilst I love bishops, Cardinals and Our Holy Father - I love to be a servant of the humble priest - he is not famous but in the priest - God's light shines through. The priest is also found in the bishop, Cardinal and Our Holy Father too . In all of them God's light shines through. Thank you dear God for priests - I for my part would be truly lost without them. Amen
@sandrakozlowski692126 күн бұрын
We must worship, adore and pray to Jesus, not any human beings such as priests,cardinal, bishops or any clergy are. The are no capital S saints. The word saint in God’s Holy Word literally means any believer in God the Father through God the Son Jesus. There are 2 types of Catholicism: 1)the one that worships the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and realizes all mankind is equally liable for their sins and are like filthy rags in God’s eyes,needing Jesus’ sacrifice in able to come to God the Father 2)those who praise men/women and encourage others to hold them up as examples instead of Jesus. I was Roman Catholic for much of my life, thinking I could never be worthy of Jesus’ love. I prayed to Mary, saints etc. Then someone showed me the true love of Jesus by showing me how much they had sinned and that so long as I repented of my sins to God(not a priest) then I was truly forgiven. This friend told me about how her grandmother prayed “Dearest Father in heaven, I come to you through the Sacrifice of Jesus by the Power of the Holy Spirit to ask forgiveness for the sins I’ve committed that I know of, the sins I’ve committed that I was unaware of and for the sins I’ve hidden from my own eyes that are an offense to you also. I pray you open my eyes to my hidden sins but I know I’ll always sin in some way every day(ie laziness,temporary lack of compassion, a sinful feeling feeling or thought)and require your forgiveness🙌. Oh thank you Jesus for purchasing my forgiveness-something we human beings can never do for ourselves bcz we are born into sin and you never were and never did.🙌 🎶Praise The Father, Praise the Son, Paise the Spirit, Three in One

I am a protestant and we often condemn our Catholic brothers and their saints but I say St. Francis of Assisi was one of the most humble and anointed servants of God in history. We are never to worship or ask him to pray for us (never in scripture does God call us to that we are to pray to Him) but we are to learn from him as he learned from him because he really walked with God : )

Grace is about opening your heart's door to God's goodness which is freely available always. It's not going up to God's door and asking for handouts (or asking someone else to do it for you). There's a discussion by Sister Wendy (the art critic) on prayer on the BBCs "Songs of Praise". I can't find it on KZbin (yet). If you can find it watch it; it's the best explanation of the nature of prayer I have ever seen. BTW this writer is Catholic
