I love the work you do! I had selective mutism as a child in the school environment and had an IEP in the 90s. I was sat with a deaf student who taught me how to finger spell and it helped me so much! My child did not speak until he was 4 and now in the later stages of echolalia and using sign helped. Highly recommend to caregivers to presume competence and AAC

I have a 4 year old who's fully non verbal at nursery, they've said she shows no emotion is very passive they have never even heard her cry, she starts full time school September she's always had very severe anxiety even around my family, we can't take her to busy places she's really struggling , at home she's happy very chatty never stops talking.
