The Setter - Pet Dog Documentary English

The setter is a type of gundog used most often for hunting game such as quail, pheasant, and grouse.
In the UK, the four setter breeds together with the pointer usually form a sub group within the gundog group as they share a common function. However, the setter breeds each have subtle differences in head, bone and substance.
The American and Canadian Kennel Clubs classify these breeds within the sporting group.Setters from show lines are usually considered to be heavier and larger than those from 'working' lines.
Character: energetic and lively. Brave and very resilient at work.
Particularity: In hunting, as the great poet Pablo Neruda observed, there is a total symbiosis between dog and man: “From two separate beings they become only one creature with six legs and a tail!” -

It’s not a retriever or a flusher, it’s a setter. They set, similar to a point, to allow a net to be thrown over the prey.

Standard Poodle is the closest to wolves, according to two wolf biologists in Banff, Alberta. 60+% of their behaviour is like a wolf's, it just stops at killing things. Family oriented, and territorial.
