Powerful presentation of the manifestation of God on earth. Very serious food for thought. Something that grieves me is how after being exposed to Jesus for the years of His life on earth, and hearing His words and attitude at the end of that life, how people can think that Jesus will transform into a different person altogether. People see Him as a terrifying warrior that no longer has the attitude of, Father forgive them, but an attitude of slaughter and destruction. And slaughter and destruction is not enough, but the time for love and mercy is gone and in their place is a never ending, unimaginable torture, for everyone that did not believe the correct thing. How can we go from one extreme to another and think that God, who DOES NOT CHANGE, transforms into a sadistic torturer and His mercy that was said to endure forever, runs out. Very sad indeed.

**MR Parr...“my God, my God why have you forsaken me?” Is The opening line of Psalm 22 . This is NOT Christ having a moment of Doubt...The OT was not split into chapters and verses like the NT . The Jews of old would recite the first line of a piece of scripture and it would bring to memory the rest of that passage. Psalm 22 was a predestined end that he KNEW of...he WANTED to suffer...because he HAD to suffer to save the nations and take upon himself the sins of the world and redeem mankind. Psalm 22 is about a person who is crying out to God to save him from the taunts and torments of his enemies, and (in the last ten verses) thanking God for rescuing him. In the very scene of the crucifixion Jesus cries out the first line of Psalm 22, and so is fulfilling it before the very eyes of the witnesses there at the foot of the cross.**

He said it to bring remembrance of Psalm 22 to the witnesses at the moment of Crucifixion . that is the opening line . Go read psalm 22 and you will see that In the very scene of the crucifixion Jesus cries out the first line of Psalm 22, and so is fulfilling it before the very eyes of the witnesses there how the events , the ridicule , the casting of lots for his garment, the wagging of heads , the dogs surrounding him , how he is despised ....and the critical point verse 16 "They pierced My hands and My feet" this is the prediction of the means of his death ...crucifixion...predicted hundreds of years before it ever Happened. The miracle of fulfilled prophecy even at the foot of the cross.
