Jergal wasn't so much defeated as was incredibly bored with no one to challenge him his might and politely stepped aside they came for his throne, and then HELPED THEM not destroy each other when it was time to divide up his power and figured these three might do something more interesting with his power than he had!

Based off of the events of The Second Sundering (and Baldur's Gate: Descent) Spoiler Warning, They are back as full gods and can even use their power to directly enhance their worshippers (there is a chapter dedicated to this in BG:DiA). The Module Murder At Baldur's Gate (which was AL playtest) goes through the process and explains how Bhaal is reborn, Bane never left his divinity as nations like Thay/Mulmaster have constantly worshipped him and lastly Myrkle is ressurected thanks to the rebuilding of the Pantheon, the Crown of Thorns may still have his essence in it, but he is completely here, for Myrkle I would guess that he is serving under Kelemovor who before the sundering inherited the portfolio.

"Stallac Benadi, the High Imperceptor of Bane, (although he had extended his life through potions of longevity) was fearing death. He petitions Bane for aid and was transformed into a Banelich. So powerful was Stallac's new form that he could cast his divine spells without need of divine assisstance (in essence, he becomes a minor demipower). Thus, in his lair beneath Zhentil Keep, he quietly amassed power for the next three centuries. Over the next 3 centuries, numerous powerful wizards also achieved lichdom and sought lairs beneath Zhentil Keep. Several of them confronted Stallac and attempted to drive him from their city but they were destroyed by his might. In the end, the lich-mages were forced to content themselves with building domains around the underground empire of Stallac and his forces of Bane, for they had come to fear the wrath of the Banelich." I wanna know what this dude is up to these days, or if his underground empire was destroyed when Zhentil Keep was attacked

I love these lore videos, especially those regarding the more obscure lore of the Forgotten Realms. Currently running a campaign inspired by the old 90s Pool of Radiance game, but with some changes. Rather than simple conquest, Tyranthraxus is instead working to regain his freedom and godhood through dark rituals while in his bronze dragon form. Phlan is fallen, and my players started in a besieged Thentia, the city-states already on the back foot from the get-go. I grew up playing the Gold Box games, and I hope to, slowly but surely, adapt some elements of them into 5e adventures.

As mentioned by others, Tyranthraxus features in the 'Pool of Radiance' CRPG and companion novelisation (where he possesses the body a Bronze Dragon); He also features in the 'Curse of the Azure Bonds' CRPG (where he possesses the body of a *Storm Giant*), and in the AD&D adventure/campaign module "Ruins of Adventure", which was a TTRPG tie-in to the "Pool of Radiance" CRPG.

They are. Bane is still a strong religion. Myrkul became a vassal of Kelemvor and Bhaal is Bhaal, since a decade
@nonnayerbusiness77043 жыл бұрын
I am a little confused about the Dead 3 in 5e. Did Cyric's imprisonment in the Supreme Throne on Pandemonium allow Myrkul and Bhaal to re-emerge? I know the Bhaalspawn and the Crown of Horns were the actual mechanisms of resurrection, but was Cyric losing control of his domains what allowed them (and Liera) to return? Also, is Cyric going to be considered among the "elder evils" or "lost gods" going forward?
@Jorphdan3 жыл бұрын
Not sure. Cyric lost his portfolios I believe. This might have allowed the Dead Three to return, but I don't think their return would mean they get their old spots. Kelemvor is now the god of the dead anyway.
