The Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church are:
1. Baptism
2. Confirmation
3. Eucharist
4. Penance (Reconciliation)
5. Anointing of the Sick
6. Matrimony
7. Holy Orders
Each of these sacraments are visible signs of the invisible grace that were instituted by Jesus Christ and available through the Church. The grace of the sacraments is a free and undeserved gift of God's life. Through the sacraments are are united with God.
One way of thinking about the seven sacraments is to categorize them into three groups:
The Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist
"The faithful are born anew by Baptism, strengthened by the sacrament of Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life. By means of these sacraments of Christian initiation, they thus receive in increasing measure the treasures of the divine life and advance toward the perfection of charity." (CCC, 1212)
The Sacraments of Healing: Penance/Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick
"The Lord Jesus Christ, physician of our souls and bodies, who forgave the sins of the paralytic and restored him to bodily health,3 has willed that his Church continue, in the power of the Holy Spirit, his work of healing and salvation, even among her own members. This is the purpose of the two sacraments of healing: the sacrament of Penance and the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick." (CCC, 1421)
The Sacraments at the Service of Communion: Matrimony, Holy Orders
"Two other sacraments, Holy Orders and Matrimony, are directed towards the salvation of others; if they contribute as well to personal salvation, it is through service to others that they do so. They confer a particular mission in the Church and serve to build up the People of God." (CCC, 1534)

Marriage is the union of half souls. Half souls? Yeah because you're not whole. Marriage is also the union between polar opposites cause Christ represents your middle. What's in the middle? Heart and mind. When your devil comes out your heart and mind are out of sync or union with each other. My point is the union of polar opposites just doesn't apply to Marriage. It's the unification of polarity itself. Your right and left your good and bad good and evil together as One. How do you get rid of the devil in I? Stay in the center. Balance. Yin and yang. See in the east it's called Tao but in the west it's called Tau in Hebrew Taw or Tav and it's veiled.

Brian Dalton, do you know that Jesus affirmed only God is good. Are you God? If a good person with a good and true heart can bring salvation then God had made a mistake in sending His Son to the cross. I guess you do not know the power of the cross. Your view is a general view of the world religion and it is untrue.

Ex Catholic here,. My goodness, this is not biblical guys. Sounds good but not biblical, also baptizing infants is not biblical, did John the Baptist baptized infants,? you have to have faith first and then be baptized immersed in water not sprinkled, how can a infant have faith he or she is just an infant ,or committed any sins yet, also the priest cannot forgive you of your sins or intercede for your sins, that's between you and JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR ONLY!🙌 Did he just say about matrimony about helping someone get into HEAVEN? You cannot help anyone to get in heaven you have to have that personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST!

So is it fair that a nun has to give up 2 sacraments and only gets 5 just to be a nun? Men get to be priests and get 6. Yes I know there are monks, but they can choose to move on to be priests, women do not get that option. I don’t believe that holy orders and marriage are are sacraments.

@@alessablack3135 Precisely because Christian marriage is a picture of Christ's union with the Church [the "two in one flesh union": because Christ in His Incarnation is two natures (one human and one divine) in the one person of Jesus Christ], marriage is raised to the level of a sacrament: a visible sign that communicates a supernatural grace.
@QuisutDeusmpc
@QuisutDeusmpc 3 жыл бұрын
@@alessablack3135 So, holy orders comes from Jesus Christ Himself and continued by the Apostles in the NT Church. It isn't any ONE verse, but a collection of things that Jesus said over time, during the course of His public ministry that makes 'holy orders' a sacrament (again, a visible sign that communicates supernatural grace): 1) a) Jesus taught that to see, hear, receive and believe He Himself, was to see hear, receive and believe the Father: Jesus cried out and said, 'Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me, and whoever sees me sees the one who sent me.'" cf. John 12: 44, 45 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.'" Philip said to him, 'Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?" cf. John 14: 6-8 1) b) Conversely, whoever does not honor, rejects or 'hates' Jesus, was not simply to dishonor, reject or hate Jesus, but to dishonor, reject and hate the Father also: "Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him." cf. John 5: 23b "Whoever hates me also hates my Father." cf. John 15: 23 Another way of saying this is, Jesus is the sacrament of the Father. Jesus is the visible sign that makes present the supernatural grace of being in the presence of the Father. 2) a) Jesus then EXTENDS this TO INCLUDE those who He sends into the world in His name. Jesus sees what the Father is doing in sending Him into the world, and, by extension, then includes the Apostles in His mission from the Father, by sending them out into the world in His own name, in such a manner, that to see, hear receive, believe and honor His Apostles was NOT ONLY to have seen, heard, received, believed and honored Jesus Christ, BUT ALSO to have seen, heard, received, believed and honored the Father ALSO: "“Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me." cf. Matthew 10: 40 "Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.” cf. John 13: 20 2) b) Conversely, to reject the one Jesus sends into the world in His name, was not merely to reject the Apostles, but to reject BOTH Jesus AND the Father: "Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” cf. Luke 10: 16 Another way of saying this is the Apostles are the sacrament of Jesus Christ AND the Father. The Apostles are the visible sign that communicates the grace of being in the presence and favor of Jesus Christ and the Father also. 3) Why? Because they were His hand chosen representatives: 3) a) trained by: Matthew 5 - 9 3) b) chosen from among: Matthew 10: 1-4; Mark 3: 13-19; Luke 6: 12-16 3) c) and commissioned by: Matthew 10: 5-15; Mark 6: 6b-13; Luke 9: 1-6 3) d) alone guaranteed the charism of the Holy Spirit (because they had been with Him from the beginning): John 14-16 3) e) and then after His passion, death, and resurrection, and just prior to His ascension into heaven, given a unique dispensation of the Holy Spirit and uniquely sent by Him with the power to forgive sins in His name: John 20: 19-23 4) What did the Apostles themselves do? They saw what the Father was doing in sending Jesus into the world, and what Jesus did in sending them, and they themselves did likewise with the full descent of the Holy Spirit into the Church at Pentecost in training, choosing, commissioning and sending the deacons (diakonia), priests (presbyters), and bishops (episkopoi) into the world through the Apostles training, choosing them, commissioning, and communicating to them the charism of the Holy Spirit through the 'laying on of hands' (HOLY ORDERS): 4) a) Acts 6: 1-6; Acts 13: 1-3; Titus 1: 5-9; I Timothy 3: 1-13; I Timothy 4: 14; I Timothy 5: 22; II Tim 1: 6; Acts 8: 14-20

I’m astonished, and saddened, that so many Roman Catholics choose to ignore actual Biblical Scripture (or just don’t know it) and support a church (lowercase) that purports to be followers of Christ and of His Bible, yet has DANGEROUSLY departed from actual Biblical Christian doctrine in MANY CRITICAL areas! If Roman Catholicism claims to follow Christ and His Bible, then start teaching and FOLLOWING the Bible. Stop teaching things that CONTRADICT what The Bible actually says. We really shouldn’t need to even be having this discussion. Who would have thought that simply FOLLOWING THE BIBLE would be controversial for Christians? If we as Christians claim to be followers of Christ then FOLLOW WHAT HIS BIBLE SAYS! The Bible needs NO additions. It needs NO subtractions. If the Bible says it, believe it and own it! If something speaks CONTRARY to The Bible we are called as Christians to “contend for the faith” and speak out AGAINST heresy. “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭ “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:11‬ ‭ If we claim to be followers of Christ, simply follow and believe what He said was true! Trust in HIM, NOT in man made “religion” Following is a summarized paragraph with references found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) of many of the false teachings of Roman Catholicism. How do we know they are false? By comparing Scripture with what is taught. The Catholic Church is the one true church (CCC 2105), Infallibility of the Catholic Church, (CCC 2035), Only the Roman Catholic Church has authority to interpret Scripture (CCC 100), The Pope is the head of the church and has the authority of Christ (CCC 2034), The Roman Catholic Church is necessary for salvation (CCC 846), Sacred Tradition equal to scripture (CCC 82), Forgiveness of sins, salvation, is by faith and works (CCC 2036 CCC 2080 2068), Full benefit of Salvation is only through the Roman Catholic Church (Vatican 2, Decree on Ecumenism, 3), Grace can be merited (CCC 2010 CCC 2027), The merit of Mary and the Saints can be applied to Catholics and others (1477), Penance is necessary for salvation (CCC 980), Purgatory (CCC 1031 CCC 1475), Indulgences (CCC 1471 CCC 1478 CCC 1498 CCC 1472), Mary is Mediatrix (CCC 969), Mary brings us the gifts of eternal salvation (CCC 969), Mary delivers souls from death (CCC 966), Prayer to the saints (CCC 2677), The Communion elements become the actual body and blood of Christ (CCC 1374 CCC 1376). At the Council of Trent, the Roman Catholic Church literally declared the Gospel that JESUS AND THE APOSTLES preached..... an anathema. In Session 6. Canons XXIV, VII, IX, XII, XVI, XVIII, XIX, XX, XXVI, XXVII, XXIX, XXX, and XXII. LOOK IT UP! Satan has blinded the eyes of millions and millions of Catholics. I pray for them often.......... The Bible says..... “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” ‭‭ Galatians‬ ‭1:8-9‬ ‭ Rome ABSOLUTELY preaches a “different gospel” and is guilty of this passage from Galatians. ACCURSED! That’s a pretty serious charge. Those are The Apostle Paul’s God Inspired words. The Bible disagrees with MANY of Roman Catholicism’s teachings. Rome’s problem is with THE BIBLE, not me. I’m simply praying for you that you see the beautiful Light and Glory of the pure and true gospel before it’s too late. I didn’t write the message, I’m simply a messenger. Get in your Bibles everyone. Read it, believe it, own it, defend it! Preach the entirety of The Bible with grace, mercy and truth and point the lost to Jesus! I don’t say this to argue, I say this because it’s the truth and the truth matters. Doctrine matters. Salvation matters. I honestly pray for you all. Please, in the quiet of your hearts ask yourselves, Why do many of Rome’s teachings CONTRADICT The Bible??? Put your trust in God, NOT Rome.

Thank goodness for your great responses! If it’s not in the Bible it’s not for you. Lucky you were born now and not before the printing press in 1436. Over 1400 years after Christ was here on earth as a man. Btw: what happened to all those who had no bible? Where does it say in bible that the Bible is the only source of salvation. Why do people like you troll Catholic sites hoping somebody will slip because of ur wisdom. Devilish. Rarely see real Catholics going around looking for conflict as I see non-Catholics commonly do!
@AVKingJamesBible

@@DCGerard58 friend, everything I have said is Biblically accurate. I gave you and anyone else reading my comment SPECIFIC examples of exactly where some of the teachings of Roman Catholicism deviated from God’s word. The Bible says 👇 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭ Therefore, if something CONTRADICTS what The Bible says then it is NOT from God and it is to be rebuked and rejected! As Christians we are to earnestly CONTEND FOR THE FAITH “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭ I’m not “trolling” Catholics. I’m trying to warn you of the very DANGEROUS path you are on. I can only surmise that you all don’t actually read The Bible. If you did you would see just how WRONG much of what they teach is. “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” ‭‭ Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭9‬ ‭ Roman Catholicism is guilty of this passage. Rome ABSOLUTELY teaches a DANGEROUSLY perverted gospel and is leading millions to 🔥. So I don’t say this to troll you. I legitimately care for your souls. I pray that you might begin to diligently study The Bible and in the quiet of your heart, ask yourself why so much of what they teach CONTRADICTS what God has already said in The Bible. I wish you well.

You use the King James Bible, which has had 7 books removed from it. And you are likely are part of a Protestant Church, which didn’t even exist until at the least the 16th century. Christians before the 16th century were Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox, and before the schism in 1054 almost all were Catholic. What you’ve written here shows that you’ve been deceived by false teachers. Peter is the prince of the apostles, and Jesus built the church on him. Matthew 16:18-19 proves this with certainty as Peter’s name in Greek means rock. Repent friend and join the one true Catholic faith, outside of which there is no salvation. God bless!

@@christsavesreadromans1096 Hello, with due respect you either don’t actually read the Bible or you don’t actually know all that Roman Catholicism teaches. Next, I am not a “Protestant”. I am simply a Biblical Christian as defined by the Bible. The same Bible which has been faithfully preserved BY God Himself over thousands of years. Back from when it was originally and faithfully penned by men under the Inspiration of The Holy Ghost. Thus, my “religion” didn’t begin in the 16 Century. Speaking of the Apocrypha, those books were NEVER considered as Scripture by anyone that mattered! The ancient Jews did NOT affirm them as Scripture. The Apostles did NOT affirm them as Scripture. Most importantly, Jesus DID NOT affirm them as Scripture either. The Apocrypha is full of errors and contradicts ACTUAL Scripture in places. Some of the apocryphal books even contradict themselves! No one that actually matters ever considered them to be Scripture and thus, they are NOT. Below is a post I copied from the “pope”. Anyone who actually does study the Bible will know how incredibly unbiblical and wrong it is. “Mary is not only the bridge joining us to God; she is more. She is the road that God travelled to reach us, and the road that we must travel in order to reach him”. This blasphemous statement was written on the “pope’s” Twitter account. March 25th 2021 at 5:31 am. I urge everyone to look it up for themselves. It is not only unbiblical but is an absolute insult to The Lord Jesus Christ. My heart breaks for the millions of people that Roman Catholicism has blinded. I pray that you see God’s truth before it’s too late. I don’t say this to argue, I say this because it’s the truth and the truth matters. Doctrine matters. Salvation matters. Said in love to you and all Roman Catholics, you are being deceived.

Dude, why do you keep calling yourself a "religion teacher"? You are a Catholic teacher. If you were a religion teacher you would be teaching comparatively about other religions besides Catholicism which is just one of many religions. Sorry but your personal religion doesn't have a monopoly on the word "religion".

He is referring to the Church started by Christ. Yes, that religion. Anything else is a man-made religion. As far as "personal religion" the Catholic Church is worldwide with 1.2 billion members. Nothing personal about that.

@@taswindler Large = worldly, which is exactly what the CC is...It's man made up doctrine....the Bible says only a remnant will be saved and God never worked thru religion Jesus preached against and warred against it.....Read Matt 23.... Do catholic's ever find it ironic that they have to defend their faith with tradition instead of the Bible??? I don't think they ever make that connection...If your tradition does not line up with the Bible then one or the other is wrong???? RIGHT?????

Matt 16 Jesus said, On Peter, he will build his Church and the gates of the hell shall not prevail against it. here you have a 2000-year-old religion which far exceeds any other institution save Judaism. The Church is a guidepost for the faithful. As far as tradition, what happened before the printing press? What happened before the Bible was put together at the end of the 4th century. Protestantism uses the Catholic Bible and removed 7 books to call it theirs. Tradition and scripture go hand in hand, I challenge you to tell me where it goes off track from Scripture. As far as Matt 23, you misinterpret the scripture.

Then Peter lived happily ever after, and The Vatican never changed the Word of God. Since Peter started it via Christ. Hence Vicars of Christ. Too bad Jesus screwed up The Lord's Prayer and Our Father screwed up the 10 Commandments. Idolatry? How'd that sneak into 4 books? Nevermind those, just be sure not to Covet, twice. RCC, the broad way to something with a crucifix... Dead flesh hanging. I could go on, but confused on my leading into this temptation.... Let's ask Papi Frank.

Also what if's, speculations, are the devils tools. I know you are Catholic... Believe something. Stop toying around. Heresy still runs rampant by the leading Church of apostates. Lead towards... Not away.
