There's a joke that I completely removed from this video and I shouldn't have and now I'm mad!!

This one's been a long time coming!
I touch on it briefly in this video, but Windblade was a figure that I've been keenly watching for some time now. In fact, I remember fighting with people online over her design when I just started my current job.
I generally try to avoid these kinds of things on KZbin, but I'm a very opinionated person on Twitter. I'm very anti-censorship, and the backlash from certain fans (though mainly one infamous ringleader in particular) leading to Windblade receiving a slight overhaul really frustrated me.
Taking about sexuality in the Transformers fandom can be kind of a touchy subject. A lot of people take a very puritanical stance, asking why mainly fembots have secondary sex characteristics and finding that not only ridiculous, but unnecessary and needing to be changed.
And I don't agree, wholeheartedly. I think those types of people mainly want to exert whatever social power they can over others just to get their way, and constantly incite problems and controversy to create opportunities to do so.
And this video is kind of my way of fighting back against that. I wanna show Hasbro, Takara, and Flame Toys that these kinds of figures are not only acceptable, but celebrated!
I'm sort of walking a fine line. It's an inherently political conversation, and again, here on KZbin with my videos, I try my best to avoid those kinds of things, because generally I want my videos to be accessible to many people. But maybe sometimes we need to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I built it and I had to sand down the parts for holding the shoulder joints, as well as the ball joints for the head and torso. Like you said, these are some of the areas where I was not comfortable putting as much force as I did when building it.

Since Windblade was originally a fan voted character that was made I think around 2008 or 09 for IDW comics but the figure is amazing and Windblade as a character as I knew her from Cyberverse (Not the Prime Wars trilogy) she was a great character and this figure does represent her well but as a super anime Masami Obari or whatever looking girl and I'll admit it I am gay but her vs Big Firebird Nicee, I'm having a hard time thinking which one is sexier lol

Not needing to transform allows the bot mode to have much better detail and fewer compromises where you'd see hinges, gaps, and kibble backpacks. Transformable figures are fun, but to get high quality transforming figures at this size you're usually looking at at least double the price. And even then then the aesthetic quality can be hit or miss. But if you just display your figures in robot form? Transformation is a bonus, but not the draw.

I know this is an older review but when it comes to puttng the weapons in the hands, take the fingers off, put the weapon in and then clamp the fingers around the weapon. the Star Wars model kits are like this and it's much easier to take it apart than to jam the weapons in and have the fingers flying around

I read somewhere on the forum that the adult collector market makes up about 15% of sales. Which is why they tend to default to research regarding children when it comes to designing and selling transformers. If you have floor polish you can fix the leg by adding a thin layer, let it dry, attach the leg. Floor polish can be used to add friction to loose joints.

@@Gei4Mei as long as its a small crack it should be fine. From the video it appears she only needs a little more stiffness to fix her joint. All you need is a thin layer of something on the tab end. Some people use super glue or paint. Personally i wouldnt recommend super glue, i have used the paint method. If you do coat the tab, let it dry for a day so it can cure before attaching.

@@Gei4Mei That stuff is meant to fuse plastic together, so it should fix the crack. Just make sure it's fully cured before you put the leg back. If it's still loose thicken the peg like they said.
