The Sey Sisters es un espectacular trío de voces que, a través del soul y un estilo pop impregnado de sonoridades africanas, se unen con el objetivo de luchar contra la injusticia, defender los derechos humanos y transmitir esperanza en el futuro.
Estas tres hermanas de descendencia ghanesa combinan sus voces en vibrantes armonías acompañadas de ritmos contagiosos que son el vehículo para reivindicar su lugar y su identidad como afrodescendientes.
En directo son emoción y energía en estado puro y, acompañadas por el pianista y saxofonista Albert Bartolomé, completan un apasionante círculo de buena energía y aire fresco que conmueve el alma y remueve conciencias.
Desde su creación como grupo en 2006, han actuado por diferentes festivales de Cataluña, España y colaborado con múltiples artistas, tanto nacionales como internacionales. En 2015 publican su primer trabajo discográfico "Let Freedom Ring" (Temps Record) y el 2018 lanzan "Rise" (Satélite K), su segundo disco con el que consolidaron su lugar dentro de la escena musical catalana y empezaron a abrirse camino en el resto del estado. Este 2021 presentan su tercer trabajo discográfico 'We got your Back' (Satélite K).
'We got your back' ( 'te apoyamos') es su tercer álbum en el que The Sey Sisters se reinventan musicalmente, buscando sonoridades nuevas para reafirmar su mensaje antirracista y feminista.
Siguiendo el legado de las generaciones que las preceden, las hermanas Sey luchan por encontrar su lugar y su identidad como afrodescendientes a través de las canciones de este disco. Tal y como ellas mismas explican: "Abrimos un espacio para el cuidado, para el empoderamiento, para reforzar el sentimiento de comunidad y para honrar a nuestros antepasados ​​y las personas que han muerto y siguen muriendo en el viaje".

These three sisters of Ghanaian descent combine their voices in vibrant harmonies accompanied by contagious rhythms that are the vehicle to claim their place and identity as Afro-descendants.
Live they are emotion and energy in its purest form and, accompanied by the pianist and saxophonist Albert Bartolomé, they complete an exciting circle of good energy and fresh air that moves the soul and stirs consciences.
Since their creation as a group in 2006, they have performed at different festivals in Catalonia, Spain and collaborated with multiple artists, both national and international. In 2015 they published their first album "Let Freedom Ring" (Temps Record) and in 2018 they released "Rise" (Satellite K), their second album with which they consolidated their place within the Catalan music scene and began to make their way into the rest of the state. This 2021 they present their third album 'We got your Back' (Satellite K).
'We got your back' is their third album in which The Sey Sisters reinvent themselves musically, looking for new sounds to reaffirm their anti-racist and feminist message.
Following the legacy of generations that preceded them, the Sey sisters struggle to find their place and identity as Afro-descendants through the songs on this album. As they explain themselves: "We open a space for care, for empowerment, to reinforce the feeling of community and to honor our ancestors and the people who have died and continue to die on the journey."
