Great looking quilt block. I am from the Kansas City area and have seen over the years these printed patterns. My Mom, sister and I would many times create them. My Mom had files and files of these cut out of the KC Star newspaper. Sure wish I would have saved them after she passed away.

Thanks for another great block. I think using just a few blocks would make a great table runner. All of the Classic & Vintage blocks are great. It would be fun to learn a little more history about the blocks...who designed them, how were they originally constructed, different little tidbits is always fun to learn. Thanks for all the "free" things you do. FQS is definitely #1 in my go-to quilting needs!!!

I love when you show vintage blocks/quilts. That is how I discovered you and FQS. Several years ago I came across your Vintage Tulip video. Have been following you since then. This block may be vintage, but it has a modern look and feel. Best of both worlds. Thank you, Kinberly.

I love all of your tutorials. You make them so easy to follow along, it makes me feel like I can tackle it without a worry. I hope you don't mind me asking this question but. . . . . what has happened to your pinky finger? I have had a serious injury to my left hand when I went through the windshield of a car and they reattached my thumb. I find that my hand tires very easily when quilting as some movements are difficult and restrict full movements. Does yoour finger impair your sewing or quilting?
@FatQuarterShopTX Жыл бұрын
Hello Brenda! There is not anything wrong with Kimberly's pinky. It does not impair her sewing.

Such a beautiful and easy quilt! Quick question...can you use fat quarters or material in bulk?
@michaelaschaller43002 жыл бұрын
Love that quilt! I just printed out the pattern. I think there is a mistake in the little picture that shows the block. I the labeling of your pictures. B should be C. C should be B.

Hi Kimberly. I’m a long time quilter but I love watching you - I learn something every time. I recently purchased a Juki 2010Q, along with several 1/4” feet, but none of them are an accurate 1/4”. Can you please tell which 1/4” foot you use on your machine? Thanks in advance
@FatQuarterShopTX2 жыл бұрын

A much faster way to make this block would be to: 1) use diagonal seam tape to eliminate marking the lines and 2) use the clearly perfect slotted trimmer to trim down your half- square triangles. This will cut your marking and trimming time in half or more.

When I tried to print the pattern. Their were several, 12, pages of blank. One one or new had a little about the block. Not enough to yo be able to use. I ne Er had had this problem in the past. I was very disappointed. Jayne Wolfe

Hello Jayne! The pattern is 10 pages and they are not blank. Please check the settings on your computer. If the pattern is showing blank pages in the preview before you print please email screen shots to our customer service team. service@fatquartershop.com

This is beautiful, but this is a pattern to be careful with. The red can be seen like a swastika if the other colors used are blacks and whites. (Totally avoidable with this, but sometimes it takes stepping away to see what other people might see first. I watched a video where a granddaughter inherited her Grandma’s hand sewn quilt using this pattern, and all the granddaughter could see when she looked at it was swastikas. 😔) I recommend NOT using reds in the center design, and this shouldn’t pose any problems.
@aligalad99072 жыл бұрын
Don’t set it on point - it reads like a swashstikka !
