I picked this deck up recently and along with your's, have watched a few other unboxings/reviews. Then I stumbled on Colette Baron-Reid's channel where she has uploaded some readings this month using this deck and it was a game changer for me in appreciating it's versatility. The artwork looks beautiful, but I did not get any shamanic vibes from this deck? It seems like this will all of Collettes decks... they are stunning, but somehow they seem to miss that final connection :(

It is not a Shamanic deck in traditional way like Mystical Shaman Oracle. Colette explained it in her page.

So glad you got this and looked at it, I was so tempted to buy but it was sold out and I couldn’t see any pix. I agree the backs aren’t the best, but I love the cards. Might keep on my wish list.

I'm glad I saw this. I don't mind the backs but I do not like most of the card images. To me it does not feel Shamanic. It feels Collete Shamanic, which is not my thing. Perhaps the backs represent the waking world, the mundane. Who knows.

Lovely! Very dreamy but I can't see the Shaman part of it. I would take it out of the name altogether. The backs are BAD. So many dreamy or sky possibilities would have suited it better! Thanks for the walkthrough

I am loving this deck, although, I do agree with you that the backs really do not flow with the style/aesthetic of the fronts of the cards, nor the box. I like the art and keywords enough to try it out though! Thanks for sharing! 💕 It's currently sold out on the Hay House website, but it's available on Amazon right now (in Canada anyways). I am also very interested in eventually getting the Priestess of Light Oracle - by Sandra Anne Taylor (Author), and Kimberly Webber (Illustrator). That's another new Hay House release. Have you seen those cards yet?! ✨✨✨-Ang

I felt a bit picky towards this deck when I first got it. I’ve been pulling daily cards with it, and slowly building that bond. I’m beginning to appreciate this deck more.

It looks nice but...I don't know...in my opinion, it doesn't seem to be as unique as I hoped it would be... it feels more fantasy-dreaming (similar to most of CBR's decks) than shamanic. And the guidebook messages didn't really hit the mark for me. Unlike the Wisdom of the Oracle that I love the guidebook, this one makes me feel: "too many words, not enough substance". It was on my wishlist since the preorder (I actually preordered and cancelled it)...but I think it can now go to the "maybe" list... lol

Some cards were really nice but it isn't shamanistic for me at all, and by that I mean what I learned about Shamanism at Uni (so not my first hand knowledge), it's too fairy-esc. But enjoyed seeing it, thank you for sharing! :)

The backings are such a shame, they make me think steam punk rather than shaman. I love Colette’s earlier oracles but i feel similarly to you in regard to her newer ones.

This is a hard no for me. The backs are terrible. I don't resonate with the images at all. The guidebook seems conflicting and confusing. I appreciate that you did the video so I can know for sure that I don't want this one. Definitely consider re-backing it. I don't know what they were thinking with those backs. They don't match the theme at all. And having worked with Shamanic practices before, I get ZERO shamanic type vibes from this at all.

Tbh I wish that we as community stopped enabling Colette's gross cultural appropriation. She keeps making decks half assing concepts from poc cultures for the aesthetic and people just???? buy it????
