he didn’t really have a slow start, he got a goal and an assist in his first game and then was out injured for quite awhile

Yup, 12 games. I can only imagine what his stats would be if he didn't get hurt.

Transitioning off of the solid vets we have to the young guys will be a challenge. But, yes, future is looking amazing. Just hope guys like Musty, Bystedt, Graf, Haltunnen, Cagnoni, Dickinson all hit at the NHL level as well.

@@markarbanasin4 One good thing towards development is that the new generation is surrounded by some of the best Sharks talent and most beloved ex-players of the organization's history in its coaching and management. I think the ethos of what made the team successful for more years than they weren't in their existence is still there and will be a guiding light for the new kids on the block. Hopefully, of course.

Don't forget Askarov!!! One of the best young goalie prospects in the world. Wearing teal now.

Mack is the real deal, I think he’s leading all the NHL in puck battles won and controlled zone entries….what a stud! Excited for Dickinson too, can do a little bit of everything and is a big tough boy already!
@BridgywoodАй бұрын
Eh wouldn’t really call him a tough guy, he’s much more finesse than physical despite how big he is (pause)
@dannyblau3850Ай бұрын
He has opened up the ice for the whole team and allowed them to gain space to operate with the puck. The past couple of seasons, Teams would just sellout pressure on them all over the ice because they didn't think they would paid for it. now with him and this roster, teams are starting to figure out they can't do that anymore. They are still 1-3 years out from being like contender contenders, but they are already entering "they are a problem" territory.

I’ve been watching Sharks’ hockey since DAY 1… and this might be my favorite team since the ’93 miracle team that dumped the top-ranked Detroit Red Wings out of the plalyoffs and came within a shot off the crossbar of knocking out the Toronto Maple Leafs, as well… THIS team is stacked with exciting young talent (Celebrini, Smith, Thompson, Eklund, Cardwell, etc…) plus a lot of talent almost ready to come up (Askarov, Dickinson, Musty, Cagnoni, etc) Fun times are back at the Tank!! Favorite All-Time Sharks for me: JOE THORNTON and OWEN NOLAN…. Two incredible talents that brought it every night.

That 93 team was crazy. I remember that red wings series. First series win overall giant.

You kept mentioning "the guys" - but didn't mention many. Guys to be on the lookout for Musty 102 points last year in. 53 games for Sunbury. Injured this year but 20 points in 11. Halttunen - 30+ goals last year for the Knights but had 17 goals in 18 playoff games. Made his AHL Debut this year and had 4 points in 6 games. Cagnoni - Point per game as a 19 year in the AHL as a defenseman. Chernyshov - was projected to go much earlier in the first round and they snagged him. Wetsch - Captain of Calgary Hitmen - big power forward Pohlkamp - Right Shot D man who is a point per game for the university of Denver in second season. Bystedt - First rounder who has 11 points in 15 AHL games. Lund - PPG in third year of college. Cardwell - just breaking through to the NHL scored his first NHL goal 2 games ago. Then there are some fringe guys like Borderleau, Robins and Guschin who have shown consistent AHL play and some inconsistent NHL minutes. + the guys you mentioned ;)

Sharks had one of the best drafts in 2024 led by Celebrini and Dickenson a 2 way defensive man and now chosen to be going to juniors. Future is bright led by Celebrini, Will Smith and many others on the team and pipeline as well. Go Sharks.

3:40 "Like Fabian Zetterlund, a guy who broke out this season and nobody anticipated that as well." He's on pace for about 2 more goals than last year. Admittedly he's seeing a decent uptick on assists (on pace for 9 more than last year), but I'd really say last year was his breakout year and he's building on it.
@stevensullivan242Ай бұрын
It's absolutely crazy that he has one more goal, same number of points, as Timo Meier right now. I remember being disappointed with the return for Meier.... Sharks end up with Mukhamadullin, Zetterland and I think Dickinson because of that trade. Insane!
@jonmendelson1104Ай бұрын
@@stevensullivan242 Musty, not Dickinson. That said, it helped them get Dickinson since it included the second round pick they used to trade up from 14 to 11 to select Dickinson. The 14th pick was acquired via the EK65 trade, though.
