Absolutely love this band and this whole new album, just saw them in Winnipeg tonight, easily the best concert of my life. But does the chorus of this song kinda feel like Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland) by Jimi Hendrix? Both tunes have that falsetto part with the line “I wanna show you,” Melodies are similar too. If this is them paying homage to the legend himself, I love them even more. Wouldn’t surprise me, they do love to pay tribute to the greats (they even played a lick from Jessica - Allman Brothers tonight during a jam), one of the things I love most about them that more bands don’t do often enough. I saw them do magnificent cover Midnight Rider at the Winnipeg Folk Festival a few years ago… and it felt like the song was wrote for them. I don’t know, maybe I’m 🥜s here but did anyone think of Jimi a little bit when they heard this?

Yes, absolutely I hear that. It is a fine line between inspired by and derived from... but obviously Sheepdogs are all about the 'golden age' of rock, and not reinventing the wheel.
