Hey Matt, the "missing" light boxes for the island pendants might have been left out intentionally. As an electrician, often times we will run the wires for island pendants but not install the boxes because if the island shifts a little in any direction the boxes will be in the wrong spot, so we cut the boxes into the exact spot they need to be after the island is installed. Typically on trim/finish.

Matt I can't explain how much I love this series! I've been studying for my home inspection certificate while following along with this series and it's been great seeing everything get put together! It has been a great motivator for my studying, and also an awesome reference guide to see something that I can't picture with my textbooks.
