The Shepherdess

A short film featuring Alison O'Neill, The Barefoot Shepherdess and the beautiful Howgill Fells, music by Stooshie Folk and filmed and edited by Summit Fever Media. The film was shot over the period of two days, in Autumn, with the aim to capture the beauty, and wildness of the Howgill Fells and Alison's life in the fells. Whilst filming we had the incredible luck to come across a group of wild fell ponies, capture some beautiful aerial footage and discover some incredible secret wild places that the Howgills have to offer - which are sometimes over looked with the rush to get to the Lakes! Alison's life as a Shepherdess is very unusual and very inspiring and this is only a very small snippet into her life!

Cracking video and outstanding beauty in all sense! But in the credits I noticed shadow the sheepdog and that just brought back a childhood memory as I had a book with the same title and I must have read it from cover to cover so many times and I was never much of a bookworm but that book had me and my imagination gripped.
