Sadly, Shelley Duvall passed away yesterday at the age of 75. May God receive her in His arms. I never met her, but I know she was a sweet, kind and lovely person. Rest in peace Shelley Duvall. The Shining's Wendy Torrance.

I have read it. She died in her sleep, I heard. She indeed seemed like a kind and lovely person to me. There aren't many actors and crew members alive. Jack, the twins and Danny are still there.

Thats actually really cool. You really put a lot of work and thought in your videos. I know the red service corrodor is practically the same as the green service corridor but where do you think the red corridor that leads to the blood elevator is located in the hotel? Ive heard a theory its near the gold ball room because of the chairs and tables stacked in the hallway.

I'm certainly not a story analyst. My experience is more about building stage sets. And how the Shining sets were built and where. Stanley Kubrick designed the sets to confuse. Jan Harlan has also said this in interviews. However, if I were to attempt to combine the sets, the Goldroom Corridor is just behind the end wall of the Green Service Corridor. Did Danny drag his tricyle to the upper floor? We never see anyone use the elevator.

There are 4 ways to get to the 2nd floor. The elevator, the stairs at the billiards, the grand staircase and the stairs in the Service Corridor. Danny probably took the elevator.

So the red corridor is the previously green service corridor just painted red, and for the elevator of blood hallway they just added the elevators at the end of the hallway and closed off the sides?

That's right, wunsortedwbooks3512. The Green Service corridor has been adapted and painted red. The 'private' sign to Ullman's Office can still be seen on the left, just like in the Green Corridor. The service door has also been replaced by a glass version. I have dedicated a page on my website to the Red Corridor: www.shiningsets.nl/?page_id=358 The famous 'River of Blood' scene was not shot there. This was done on Elstree's Backlot in a 1:3 scale model.

I already talked about the two panels ripped off the door of The Shining, and in Doctor Sleep movie, there is only one. I saw a video of the film's production, and it shows the set with the two panels missing. I don't know why they changed that. But in the universe of The Shining/Doctor Sleep, does the Overlook Hotel distort things and elements of the past? For exemple, the 'redrum' broken door has changed, the entrance to room 237 is different, the 1921 Ball plays music from the 1930s, etc.

Mike Flanagan may have recorded two versions with the door, where Ewan McGregor looks through the hole in the door. He probably chose this version because it most resembles the famous shot with Jack Nicholson. I don't know if the Overlook universe twists things, but I noticed the entrance to Room 237 right away. Why Mike Flanagan had it built this way is beyond me. The spaces in the Boiler room also don't seem quite right. Mike Flanagan could easily have measured the original space in the Enigma building at Elstree Studios. The building is still there.

Could you tell me if Jack Torrance redeems himself in Doctor Sleep movie? I know he is now a bartender and offers Danny drinks. I've never seen the entire film, just a few scenes.

@neusamaria5222 I watched the scene with Danny and Jack as a bartender, but Jack doesn't seem to redeem himself. He's still frustrated that he had to take care of his family. And he's trying to get Danny to drink again. Jack is still evil. Jack also denies that he's Jack, but Lloyd.
