Piranha existed in the original game as an airbrake supplier to AG Systems and Auricom. News tickers on Altima indicate that they withdrew from racing in 2050 to focus on this. AG Systems moved to Japan soon after they were formed in 2017, FEISAR were formed later that year as a knee-jerk reaction. Auricom and Qirex were never the same team, they were formed independently by two ex-AG Systems employees. They actually obeyed the original lore incredibly well

solipchris technically it's a ps4 remaster of 2048bwith all the dlc

funny how the lore of wipeout is now ruined by the fact that pirhana was developed in 2097, feisar was developed when AG-Systems was sold to the japanese around the F3600 league and that in the first wipeout that is supposed to be later in the timeline only had 1 nose. not to mention that Auricom and Qirex were the same team around that time.
