Milton Friedman was a great, wonderful man. The words 'Free to Choose' should be blazoned on the constitutions of every country and every heart. We are individuals, and we should act like it, and be treated like it. A single picture with Pinochet before he committed his atrocities means nothing, Truman himself met with Stalin. If he had nothing to do with those acts, which he absolutely did not, in any imaginable way, then it is insane to try to associate him with them.

funny I was on the nobel website seeing if they had the ceremony with this heckler on it and i'm amazed they don't! they don't have speech that preceded Milton friedman where before he gets heckled by this brave person speaking truth to power. if anyone has it let me know, and sorry if I offended anyone who likes friedman

This is because The Price friedman recieved is sort of a fake nobel price. It was not founded by Alfred Nobel. It was founded by one of The Swedish banks in 1968, more than 70 years after nobels death, with lots of protests from The nobel commity. It ended up being called «nobel memorial prize in economic sience».
