I'm 50 years old and never been on a surfboard in my life, but I love these videos. I'm about 5 years away to retirement and would love to learn how to surf before my last days. I'm certainly not going to try crazy stuff like Nathan's videos, but would love to find a place where no wet suit required, you can catch some waves in relative peace around 6:30 in the morning, surf a couple of hours, take a break to ride a bike around the area - get a nap, surf another hour or two in the afternoon then call it a day. That would be the dream.

Paddle maybe but Im sure someone else has tried, but as you can see that reef specifically is a big bodyboard spot as youd imagine. In brazil we usually say that the best heavy water barreling waves surfer come from this beach where this reef is which is itacoatiara. Not putting nate down. But l for example bruno santos, dudu pedra (gnarliest dude), kalani latanzi, just to name a few, all from here
