Dr. Don Shockey was the initiator of the expedition to the site of Noah's ark. Without him and Dr. Carl Baugh, there would have been no such expedition to the ark in the year of our Lord 1990.
Dr. Don Shockey and Dr. Carl Baugh were co-directors of the expedition. There were eight individuals on the team. Two of which, Dr. Carl Baugh and Robert Summers, I personally spoke with in an interview. Unfortunately Bob (Robert) couldn't met the next day for the on camera portion of the interview with myself and Carl, to give an account of his experiences during the expedition us all. Perhaps in the future.
However we still have Dr. Carl Baugh interview which gives us insight into what they learned about Mount Ararat and Noah's ark. I hope you enjoy it and it gives you a deeper understanding of the way God guides us and history. Please support by sharing and subscribing, thank you.

A person can believe with all their heart & still call stories like this total bullsh*t. Simply because stuff like this is total bullsh*t. It's similar to the Ron Wyatt claims which aren't true & they not only embarrass Christian faith but they are also aimed at good Christian folk because that's were the money comes from. They use a person's faith as a step towards requesting financial support because they're doing the Lord's work but fact is that they aren't doing any such thing.

Thanks for sharing this video. It seems you were able to film some scenes, within Dogubeyazit and of Mount Ararat. Yes, God's ark is upon that mountain. Its authentic resting place is along the upper slope of the southeast side of greater Mount Ararat. The broken structure is still positioned, much in the same way, as testified by Ed Davis. Apparently, it is now in at least three large sections...a main section resting along the original ledge, and more broken sections positioned lower within the southeast canyon. The Russian expedition was there, Ed Davis was there, and countless others have been there, throughout history, including my own SMART research team. God's ark still has a purpose to serve, as a witness to the nations...I am overjoyed at the reality that God directed me, in 2004, to "Go to the mountains of Ararat", so I may help reveal the truth about His ark on Ararat. Going to the ark is the beginning of a restoration process...

You're welcome and thank you for your testimony. Yes I have been there, but everyone seemed to think the ark was on the mountain nearby where Ron Wyatt and other others said it was at, but it is an old Tamerlane fortress. They only lied for fame and money. The problem is it is in no ones interests to tell you where it's at and I will go back to see it and bring back an artifact to be studied, since now I know the approximate location. It's not wise to wonder on an ice covered mountain you are unfamiliar with. While I do think it serves a purpose, I still think with or without it we have the truth. When I became a Christian, I thought there is no way that ship is still around. Which it is logically after thousands of years of war, decay and just people using the wood to build other things. I've heard that it is in more than two pieces now, have you seen it for yourself?

There was NEVER a worldwide flood. How do you explain the relative ages of mountains? For example, why weren't the Sierra Nevadas eroded as much as the Appalachians during the Flood? Why is there no evidence of a flood in ice core series? Ice cores from Greenland have been dated back more than 40,000 years by counting annual layers, and the Vostok Antarctica cores go back over 400,000 years. A worldwide flood would be expected to leave a layer of sediments, noticeable changes in salinity and oxygen isotope ratios, fractures from buoyancy and thermal stresses, a hiatus in trapped air bubbles, and probably other evidence. Why doesn't such evidence show up? How are the polar ice caps even possible? Such a mass of water as the Flood would have provided sufficient buoyancy to float the polar caps off their beds and break them up. They wouldn't regrow quickly. In fact, the Greenland ice cap would not regrow under modern (last 10,000 yrs) climatic conditions. Why did the Flood not leave traces on the sea floors? A year long flood should be recognizable in sea bottom cores by (1) an uncharacteristic amount of terrestrial detritus, (2) different grain size distributions in the sediment, (3) a shift in oxygen isotope ratios (rain has a different isotopic composition from seawater), (4) a massive extinctions. Why do none of these show up? Why is there no evidence of a flood in tree ring dating? Tree ring records go back more than 12,000 years, with no evidence of a catastrophe during that time.

According to Ed Davis, the Ark is somewhere in the Alborz mountains of northern Iran. Ed Davis mentioned that he was in Qazvin before hiking into the mountains for three days. After seeing the Ark remains in a canyon near a high peak (more than likely somewhere near Alum-Kuh), Davis said he stopped in Tehran for supplies after a five day trek back from the site. Davis never said anything about Turkey like the traditional Christian historians do. Ed Davis was in Iran, not Turkey. Mary Irwin even published a book about how the Ark is in Iran and not Turkey. Not to discredit the efforts of the men and their search, but the Ark is not on Mount Ararat. The Ark's landing place is on a mountain range south of the Caspian Sea.

Clearly you didn't look at the photographs and you can see from google earth the something similar on top of that mountain. You are missing what is in front of you and to suggest another place without at least a photograph would be difficult to convince that it is somewhere else. I'm not saying that it couldn't be, but what is on top of that mountain would have to be explained and then proof provided to determine if that is actually the right place or not. As for Turkey its boundaries in that area were not well established until the 1950's, therefore it isn't surprising that he wouldn't have mentioned Turkey. If you look at the map it is right on the border of Iran and what was the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union controlled much further into what is today now concerned the boundaries of Turkey. Just some food for thought.

Hi everybody, looking into the comments about whether Mount Ararat (Agri Dagh) or a different place could be the Noah's Ark landing place, in my humble opinion, there's a point to consider about the landing site, first, Mount Ararat is the first place where a serious and a deeper research should be carried out, second, "Urartu" or "Ararat", this kingdom or geographic area contracted and expanded over time, and there were times when some of its different rulers made conquests that brought its borders a little wider than what we usually see on most maps, there could be a place that we're ignoring, of course, Urartu's borders never went so far into Iran, as some researchers have suggested in the past; so we have to be objective about this, and finally, what the biblical account says about that Noah's descendants journeyed from the east it may be important, Noah and his wife may have stayed in the same area, but, if that's not the case? this could be the third important point that maybe we're ignoring.

Baloney. A natural rock structure near Dogubayazit, Turkey, has been misidentified as Noah's Ark. Microscopic studies of a supposed iron bracket show that it is derived from weathered volcanic minerals. Supposed metal-braced walls are natural concentrations of limonite and magnetite in steeply inclined sedimentary layers in the limbs of a doubly plunging syncline. Supposed fossilized gopherwood bark is crinkled metamorphosed peridotite. Fossiliferous limestone, interpreted as cross cutting the syncline, preclude the structure from being Noah's Ark because these supposed "Flood" deposits are younger than the "Ark." Anchor stones at Kazan (Arzap) are derived from local andesite and not from Mesopotamia.

Yes there is another structure misidentified that the archeologists on this expedition looked at. I have another video on that archeological site. It is not on Mount Ararat but on the mountain range of Ararat some miles away. But the ark on top of the mountain is certainly made of wood. Others who have hiked up the mountain have observed fashioned wood pieces used for some sort of building material but were puzzled why it was on top of an ice cold mountain with no trees. They like many people, have never heard that the ark still exists and it is there. This included myself until a few years ago. I hope this information helped you answer some of the questions in your mind and that you can see more clearly why this is the ark of Noah. Remember this ship is not small and the photos they took from a shaky helicopter flying well above its recommended altitude, trying not to crash into the mountain itself are of course not the best photographs but it is still evident that this is a large structure made of wood on top of a mountain with no trees.

@@theworldthroughtheeyesof - It's also theologically bunk. The perspective offered by Answers in Genesis forces people to choose between the Bible and modern science, and reinforces the harmful cultural stereotype that modern science and biblical Christianity cannot mix. Sadly, Answers in Genesis is staking the authority of the entire Bible-and Christianity itself-on the view that a global flood is a viable alternative to abundant scientific evidence for a longer chronology of creation. To do so, they must add in many speculative details not found in the biblical text, such as the “biogeographical rafting model”. And they must rely on a theory of post-Flood animal evolution in which species diversify at rates many times faster than any known evolutionary mechanism. These theories, along with many others posited by young-earth creationists, are not based on credible scientific evidence; in fact, they contradict the clear evidence in God’s creation.

Dr. Carl Baugh and scientists from all the different fields of study have a very sound and convincing analysis of how those events took place and their effects that can be observed. Furthermore, many decades ago, there was found decaying radioisotopes of nuclear decay frozen in time. Some of the stages seen only last few seconds to a few minutes, while others no more than 4 weeks. This showed that they must have been created in the beginning and that God as made things with an appears of age, as he did with Adam, the animals, trees, fowls, and the rest of creation. The 'mountains of Ararat' is telling us that it didn't come to rest on the actual Mt. Ararat but that it came to rest somewhere around about the mountain! I'm afraid to say that Dr. Baugh wasted his time and effort as well as a considerable sum of money looking on the mountain of Ararat because the most likely resting place for the ark has been found and identified as such by Ron Wyatt. His discovery has been acknowledged by the Turkish authorities which have officially recognised the site as being where the remains of Noah's ark are situated. Ron Wyatt found tangible evidence ihat can be examined and which points to his discovery being valid.

This might come to your surprise but Ron Wyatt came to Dr. Carl Baugh and I have at least 8 witnesses that corroborate his story. Dr Baugh did an excavation on the site Ron Wyatt claimed it was at. There was nothing inside the so called ship. It was a palace fortress built by Tamerlane and the builders had used iron rivets to hold and reinforce the structures/buildings in place. The Turkish government also stopped recognizing Ron Wyatts site years ago as well. I have been there several times over the years and am well aware of what goes on there. All that Dr. Baugh claims about that area including the presence of Kurds are true and I know many of them there. In a documentary you can't put all of the details and that is what people forget. But one question to ask yourself as well, are photographs not evidence?

@@theworldthroughtheeyesof That is incredibly interesting to learn, the site not being recognized anymore and the former presence of a fortress on that site.

People have used that excuse forever, but the fact is it actually did land on the mountain of Ararat. I've even collected pictures at different seasonal times, actual photographs, which match his diagram at 10 minutes and 13 seconds of the broken upper half., And all of the pictures show it in the exact same spot.... Which I believe is the same spot as what they call the Ararat anomaly at the 16,000 ft level.

It’s so sad to see so may dullards still taken by proven liar and con-man Wyatt. Of all the countless places theorized as it’s location - if it exists - Ron Wyatt’s garbage is the one site we can absolutely discount. Debunked many times over. PS. Ron didn’t even discover that site … he popularized it and took credit for it.

The ark is not a ship/boat. The hebrew word is chest, box, coffin, and most fittingly, cage. Ship/boat does appear in the Bible, and it does not appear here. That is natural mudflow and there are many formations just like it in that exact area.

Last year I found countless fossils in a pit. It was really awesome because I knew that a time was suddenly frozen and shattered into thousands of pieces. I felt sorrow, but when evil wanted to wipe out the last good thing on earth, God had no choice but to send the flood and carry the chosen ones over to a new age.

The fossils were probably marine and much older than the mythical flood. Those fossil beds exist in many places throughout the world and are from ages over 3.5 billion years to very recent times. All were local events. There was not a world event.

@@gregjones2217 The world-shattering flood event at the mountains can be viewed. The immense water pressure pushed the continents apart and back together. Therefore the mountains are much larger and younger than can be explained by the normal continental drift. I myself saw layers like waves in the rocks when the material was still soft. Today everything is petrified and breaks like dishes.

Is that because your mind is already made up or you require additional evidence? I suggest you read the Bible since it is from a person who witnessed those things; of the ark and the Flood. All other stories mix fact and fiction, which is easily identifiable, but if you so desire to read the many different versions of those events do so and you will see what I have written is true. I would also tell you is if that structure on that mountain isn't the ark it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Can you prove that the battle of Waterloo took place? Only from the writings of those who witnessed those things of course, if they be of a good and honest witness. Let us rightly divide the truth from those things which are not.

@theworldthroughtheeyesof1848 I prefer fact and proof and multiple accounts in many verifiable sources. Not a single account from a plagiarized text. Written in a storybook that is wrong or questionable on most accounts. As to the flood, there is no credible proof. That being true for most of your fairy tale. And, yes I read the bible twice. Along with most other religious texts. All are stories made up by unscrupulous men wanting to control the illiterate masses for their own benefit.
